Who does this stuff? I was watching X games on TV this past Saturday. There were dirt motorcycle bikes jumping over a high jump at 47 feet. It's call Jump Up. They jump vertically and drop down to land. The guy who won was limping. I don't know what part of his hip area that was injured.

I've been enjoying my summer time watching the Olympics, Come Dine with Me and Big Brother. I wasn't a big fan of BB, but after watching it - I've gained an insight to fake relationships formed in life.

Hmmm.... Probably my favorite pastime would be lounging in a cozy lounger looking over and across the ocean to the smaller slands, listening to the waves and the gulls while sipping a glass of pinot grigio, attempting to read a book only to doze off..... ya thats right.

I haven't tried it in a while but I'd love to sleep again one night, the whole night. That would be a great pastime.

Love walking .. best place I've found is one of the local college campuses, early in the morning or mid afternoon .. lots of walkways, just the right amount of people.
and
sleeping, reading, occasionally cooking. Used to like tennis but have been lazy this year.
oh wait!
and, message boards, too!

I've always loved to walk. I'm fond of the forest, or alongside a rapidly-running stream. Love to read and, of course, I'm fond of sleeping when I get the chance. Like jencin, I enjoy message boards, as well.

Music and walking work really well together. Take a favorite playlist, player and earphones and you can enjoy a great hour or two.

It's goes great together. I love learning new things, about whatever challenge at the time. I use to write the poem and short story, when I was early teen. Maybe I do that again or pick up playing piano again....after me and my Hubby have more time. ;D

Snowy, you're very creative and fun. I love power walking too and would do it a lot during my studies. It does go great together. I have recently written some poems. I may post my own work on the Rosy thread and show it to you. What kind of poems and stories did you write? And playing a piano! I wish to learn how to play the piano.

Good morning, Rose. My Mom sent me to piano lesson when I was 5 years old. And I really appreciate that effort by my Mom. Because of that, I can able to connect with the music, that I listen to. ;D Rose, I need to practices with writing and playing piano again but it will come back eventually. ;D The poem, I wrote about was , what I was feeling at the time. I remember, my teacher at that time put in a hall way so everyone can see........ ;D It will will be great idea, if you put down your own thought in your thread. Rose.

Wow, so many. I love walking in the countryside, riding horses, climbing mountains, gardening, writing (mainly poetry though I've written nine chapters of a novel), playing chess, watching cricket and football (soccer), listening to music, watching TV (I'm absolutely addicted to the soap Emmerdale but I probably mainly watch documentaries and, lol, children's programmes which are serious brain damage for us adults! , politics, travel, keeping fit and campaigning on various issues that I feel passionate about. Most of the time I'm a wife and mother of course and also run my own business!

I like (when I have the time) doing counted cross-stitch pictures - I did a large tablecloth a few years ago that only comes out for special occasions, and a few Christmas table runners, coasters, and a tree-skirt.
I also make cross-stitch bookmarks to give away as gifts or sell at craft sales. I've also donated several to the Children's hospital for the kids to have for their books.
I've recently started designing my own patterns and designs to use for various cross-stitch projects.

Cross-stitching? Wow! I'd like to see some of your art work, Lassie. I have seen Miss Who's work with her blankets and they're beautiful. I don't think I have the patience for fabric and sewing.

I'm sure you can ,if you 'count' each stitch per square inch then multiply by so and so - You get the meaning.

I'm sure you can ,if you 'count' each stitch per square inch then multiply by so and so - You get the meaning. It's also in the TYPE of fabrics you use for cross stitch- Aida cloth (various weave sizes per inch), and linens are best. And it can get quite intricate. It's not like doing stamped designs at all. I also do tons of crochet projects - afghans, sweaters, baby blankets & clothes, etc. [ETA: I'll try to remember to take some pictures of some of the detailed framed pictures I've done for you Roselia, plus some of the crochet projects]

It's pretty so I bought a holder and I'm trying to get the 2009 - 2021 series. Currently 14 behind (5 per year X 5 yrs + an extra in 2009) Spent $7.95 buying the final missing 6. Postage was $3 of that They averaged 80c Now officially hooked. Don't need to buy clothes so I'm buying peace dollars. 2 down ... 22 to go
