J, you try buying bread and finding it's $8 a loaf. It's Money related, dang it!!!  Sheesh, you move it over to Off Topic and within 5 minutes, it will be 13 pages long with fluff about who is serving a virtual drink to whom and on top of having to deal with this whole allergen thing, I'll be bored with my own thread. That's just mean. Dang, now I'm going to get more instant karma for being so cranky about this. |

I actually don't mind the threads over at Off Topic. I just don't like the fact that not as many people go there so it's less likely that someone will see it.
Count me in the group that thinks the Off Topic subboard is not helpful.

I actually don't mind the threads over at Off Topic. I just don't like the fact that not as many people go there so it's less likely that someone will see it. We have had the same group of moderators since day one.
The forums need to have many of them rotated, some because they are too trigger happy, and others only because bringing in new blood to oversee things is a good idea.

I really like sourdough bread. I usually buy Rudi's Organic at $3.49 a loaf. I really need to learn how to make it myself.

I'll say that I don't find the YM "off-topic" subboard helpful, either.
I don't know why it was created, really. If there were off topic posts, then they should have gone to EE or somewhere.
For example, the "I bought a new car" thread isn't off topic. The financiing got discussed. That's money related.
