Exactly. This also goes to show that there truly is two kinds of Islam. I don't get this, Aham. Are you trying to say that there are two kinds of Islam? What are the two kinds? Good and bad? Yes, my condolences too Jarhead but if we total how many innocent Muslims have died due to the action of the few terrorists then the death toll is incomparable. For your 411, here is what Dawah actually is. You'll understand Wiki text. Da‘wah or Dawah (Arabic: دعوة) usually denotes the preaching of Islam. Da‘wah literally means "issuing a summons" or "making an invitation", being the active participle of a verb meaning variously "to summon" or "to invite" (whose triconsonantal root is د ع ى). A Muslim who practices da‘wah, either as a religious worker or in a volunteer community effort, is called a dā‘ī, plural du‘āt. A dā‘ī is thus a person who invites people to understand Islam through a dialogical process, and may be categorized in some cases as the Islamic equivalent of a missionary, as one who invites people to the faith, to the prayer, or to Islamic life.[1] Da'wah activities can take many forms. Some pursue Islamic studies specifically to perform Da'wah. Mosques and other Islamic centers sometimes spread Da'wah actively, similar to evangelical churches. Others consider being open to the public and answering questions to be Da'wah. Recalling Muslims to the faith and expanding their knowledge can also be considered Da'wah.

I prefer the the 205 page Academic Dissertation From the Universaty of Helsinki a much better reference than wiki. Dawa The multiple nature of Islamic da'wa ethesis.helsinki.fi/julkaisut/hum/aasia/vk/racius/themulti.pdfAs we remember the moderate Islamist this Sept 11, 2012 More to the world than wiki. If your going to quote me use the whole quote or post. Thank you.

I would worry about your own 411 rose . The timing of your post about the deaths of Muslim ( dai ) priest seems almost coincidental as we look back , as Amercans , this Sept 11, 2012.

I would say there are those that are stuck in the past and those that are more understanding on what they are going to have to do to make it in the 21st century. However, I think that as Jar pointed out, there is an underlying theme in both camps, that is Islam is the way. The point about our ultra liberal outlook on things was confirmed for me last night because of a story in my personal life. A couple we know has their son in a public school in a good part of town. The school is 65% "minorities". The main religion in this public school is Sikhism. They are now allowed to bring their kirpan to elementary schools because it's part of their religion!! So we aren't allowed to celebrate Christmas in our public schools because of Religion, yet some can bring knives because of theirs? Why? Because multiculturalism has got to the point where we let others push us and not offend them as far as I can tell. Look at this article... Iran vs. Canada: Whose side are you on? www.torontosun.com/2012/09/11/iran-vs-canada-whose-side-are-you-on So there is the dawa... ISLAM'S OFF AIR www.dailystar.co.uk/news/view/271808/Islam-s-off-air/ And the Jihad Protesters attack U.S. diplomatic compounds in Egypt, Libya www.cnn.com/2012/09/11/world/meast/egpyt-us-embassy-protests/index.html The only problem with all of it, the Islamic have no money without us and the Middle East will slowly collapse in on itself this time around. There will be no second Islamic golden age unless these guys start doing what it talks about in the Quran and follow the messiah and understand that's what their profit was talking about.

Oh no, that's like saying (to me) that e0 = 1 and if so then you're right. Jokes apart, I see no connection at all to my timing of my posts with the content of what I post. Should I have commented and replied come Christmastime?
Okay, I see your point and fair enough. You'll get 'assorted' believers I guess.

No, I mean there is a chance the Middle East is going to collapse in on itself and you're going to see what's going on in Mali happen in wide swaths across the Middle East. Obama has just asked Egypt to take a side, Egypt and Turkey have told Iran they have to choose on Syria. Azerbaijan has Israeli planes and tanks in their bases pointed at Iran. Turkey wants IN the EU badly, and the Saudis want all that international money to keep flowing.
But ontop of that you have China's interest in the region to consider as well. The Islamic extremists have been causing problems for them on their own boarder, and in Africa. I say in Africa because China is investing heavily in the future of that county.
So what do you think is going to happen if these extremest contiune to escalate across the region, as they seem to be doing?(There were more Embassy attacks today).
Keep in mind the Muslims that want to move forward are the ones that want money and have access to armies and are working with Israel. Oh and have the backing of the Chinese really when it comes right down to it.

Time to revisit. Now that boko haram has abducted many young girls, and the country of Brunei has implemented a strict form of Sharia law, and extremest are all over Iraq and Syria.. Well as I pointed out above Mali was a pretext for what is to come, and China has stepped up anti terror operations. But hey it's only a tiny little fraction of Muslims that want it to be there way and only their way, right? The world is going to be a much different place once the dust settles, that is for sure.

It started as a debate, it's now a discussion on how bad it's going to get...

It is here in the US and the the threat of Islam is real and growing. Using our very freedoms against us. Once again this is what is happening in Iraq and through out the Middle East. To all that support the US .

Damn, I can't handle those gore sites man, even the thought of them... However, i'm guessing; the reports of dead bodies in Baghdad today, the fact that Canadian and American Muslims are traveling to Syria to fight with the mujahideen, the threats of executions in Trafalgar square, the threats of a black flag flying over Buckingham palace, the plan to spread from Spain to China, and the report below tell the same story?

Can't keep our heads in the sand. Just because we don't see it doesn't mean it's not happening. Real time and right now . Somethings you never forget.

I hear ya, reminds me of the movies that are set in the late 30's when they talk about how people were ignoring what was going on in Germany... It's safe to say it's not if- it's when- the $#'t hits the fan in Europe.

Again, the problem is far more widespread than some want to believe. Ignoring the severity of the problem because not all Muslims are extremists doesn't make you a good person. In fact, if there truly is all these "moderate" Muslims out there they better start standing up and fighting back because Islam is collapsing in on itself; and it will be the "moderates" fault that it happens.
