My son is interested in purchasing a small suv and one of the vehicles he was interested in is a 2006 Jeep Liberty. The only hang up he has is he doesn't like the knobs on the heat/ac, etc. on the dashboard. Crazy thing to take a dislike to, but there it is. Does anyone know if the knobs could be changed out with more generic knobs? I have a 2008 Nissan Altima, and those are generically the types of knobs he likes vs. the ones with the groove on it. He has been driving a 2000 Ford Ranger, and it has the same type of knobs. We can get a good deal on a 2006, but I would really like to see if the knobs could be replaced. I've googled it, but haven't had a lot of luck. Thanks!

ROFL - really? He doesn't want to buy a vehicle because he wants grooves on the heating knob?
I would call an auto parts store (auto zone or O'Reileys, etc.) and ask if they have replacement parts for that vehicle, and if they have different styles.

Thyme - you have the same reaction as others (including myself and my DD) when I tell them how he doesn't like the knobs! They look at me like I've grown 2 heads!! I've decided he's going to have to get over it and I'm getting the car. It's too good of a deal to pass up. The dealer I'm getting it from is my old boss so he's giving me a heck of a deal. I've decided I'm almost 49 and have yet to get the car with everything in it I'd like, so there it is!

If my folks had offered to buy me a car when I was a teen and I complained about the knobs, I would have found myself permanently out of a car so fast I wouldn't have known what hit me . . .
