I am so proud of my niece. She's getting a trip to Johnson Space Control in Houston, courtesy of NASA. There's a program where exceptional students are invited to enter a program. IF you do exceptionally well in the program, get letters from one of your Congresspeople and your teachers you can be selected to spend a week at NASA in Houston. My niece found out recently that she going. I'm so excited and proud for her. I'm kinda of a space geek so I'm jealous too, in a mild way. Anyway, I needed to brag. ;D

thanks! She's a junior in high school too. She's a good kid. Wants to be an engineer, although I'm not sure which branch/type.

I hope they figure out the next shuttle program soon, it's kind of bleak without one.
