5:40 am here and I thought I would pass by and leave you a message before heading to work.
Good to hear that the walkthrough went well, but just remember that you do not need to fix everything at once.
It is really tempting to just walk in there and just make it "perfect" but if I understand this is your forever home so you have forever to fix it, so take it easy ;D
By the way, you will be signing a ton of paper this morning, will feel like you are signing your life away...you technically ate but it is for a good cause.
This weekend drop your son at his grandparents, get some champagne/wine, blankets and food and head over to your "home" with your husband; no better time to "christen" every room then when they are empty, nothing in the way ;D
Good luck!

We're checking to see if the mortgage company has the number for us yet. Then we'll drop DS off at MIL's, go to the bank, and get a cashier's check for the amount.
(deep breaths)
Less than 3 hours....

(deep breaths) Less than 3 hours.... You could just get a check for what they originally told you and then either give them a personal check if it's more or get a check back from them if it's less.

Rick wouldn't let us celebrate with him in his new home. But, MJ, you want us all to break the place in tonight, don't you? We'll plan to arrive around 6, k? Seriously, wishing you a smooth closing and no hand cramps. Congratulations!!! 30 years will fly by in a heartbeat. ;D

The first visitor we had to our house was the President of the oil company that delivered oil to the previous home owners. He got there a few hours after we closed. Wanted to make sure he signed us up for another contract.
Looking back that is creepy and pisses me off.

Looks like we're behind schedule - mortgage company still hasn't given us the final amount.

And that requirement is a big old pain in the ass for the attorney's offices that do the closings.

It's such a PITA, isn't it? They didn't give us the final amount until about an hour before closing. Deep breaths, and just keep telling yourself - by the end of the day, I'll be a homeowner. ;D Good luck!!

Hugs Money! We had the exact same problem when we rolled our construction loan into a mortgage. It was a PIA (and we were having a snow storm on top of it). I hope the rest of the day goes well.

Don't let them rush you into signing documents without reading them as thoroughly as you want to.
