If you maintain a portfolio of your work for use in interviews, how would you describe it? Does it look like a highly polished report, or is it a more informal collection of your work? Do you include descriptions and commentary so it exists as a stand-alone document?

I'm a designer so I have a portfolio. I have a paper copy to bring to an interview as well as an online one. The online one includes 6 projects. Each project includes a project summary, a narrative, and a list of my involvement. The idea being someone could browse it and know what I've worked on and in what capacity. The printed version is the same format, but includes many projects so I can tailor it to a particular interview if necessary. I did some research while doing it and I'm happy with it overall.

Thanks for the input. My portfolio is fairly scattered right now...it makes sense if I can narrate my way through it while showing it to someone, but I think I'm going to try to "assemble" the whole thing. Hopefully it will be more cohesive in the end.
