Speaking of Mergers - Let's also talk splits - Pfizer (PFE)
There has been speculation - including by me that Pfizer just may split itself into 3 companies by 2017-2018.
Nothing solid on it but would be a great upswing for shareholders to go from one company to three.

Looks like Cocoa Cola is looking to acquire Hains Celestial group. (HAIN) Just a rumor right now but it could make sense as KO might want to diversify away from sugary drinks.

Monster Beverage (MNST) - Announces a 3 for 1 Split !
Well here's something we haven't heard much of lately - A Split for a major company. Unfortunately I do not own this stock but I do own KO ( Coca Cola) which has a huge stake in Monster. So I will benefit personally although indirectly.
The Split is schedule to take place on November 9th for owners of record October 26th.
My experience has been positive for companies stock price soon after a split because it entices more ownership in the stock.
