As usual, the D,G&Conspiracy Index was flawless in predicting yet another banner session for stocks. As new threads from noted anti-business, anti-America posters have been spiking, buyers have flooded the markets. Gold took another hit as investors moved more money into stocks. As predicted, the DOW should move past 12,000 shortly. Post on Midcoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey mmhmm, I have not seen one post about being called anti-American , have you! Please do not delete it! Thank you. Frank you have never been more wrong in your life. I happen to love this country, served it and pay taxes as a buisness owner. Tired of watching it wasted to fuel a failing monetary policy determined to destroy our children's future at least the one I am trying to plan for mine. You are entitled to your opinion. When you see the fed chairman more than our political leaders determining the outcome of our country , I find that disturbing. We have no political leadership when it comes to making tough decisions. I am not hard to find . It's the only house on the street with an American flag out.

Frank you have never been more wrong in your life.
Unless you are one of the old, previously banned posters that the original post pertains to, then you have no reason to respond as you have (or should have) no context of which to judge the statement, and therefore, have no idea how right or wrong I am...
Are you ready to tell us who you really are yet? Or should we just ask Bruce?

People need to focus on skills needed to put food on the table instead of looking for personal fulfillment and happiness in the workplace. Experience teaches most of us that, on the whole, we're a lot happier when we can pay the bills....

With Fukushima still in the news there has been as rise in congenital hyperthyroidism in infants along the west cost . The result of the radioactive isotope I - 131. The following scientific data supports this claim . Numourous reports indicate the dangers the isotope poses to children . "Large amounts of fallout disseminated world-wide from the meltdowns in four reactors at the Fu-kushima-Dai-ichi plant in Japan beginning March 11,2011 included radioiodine isotopes. Just days afterthe meltdowns, I-131 concentrations in US precipita-tion was measured up to 211 times above normal. "
Congenital hypothyroidism can be used as one measure to assess any potential changes in U.S. fetal and in-fant health status after Fukushima because official datawas available relatively promptly. However, health de-partments will soon have available for other 2010 and2011 indicators of fetal/infant health, including fetal deaths, premature births, low weight births, neonataldeaths, infant deaths, and birth defects. While any ad-verse effects would first be expected to affect the suscep-tible fetus and infant, subsequent review of any changesin health status of older children and adults can be pro-ceed.
So Franky. Please dispell the dangers of this isotope on infants.

There were a little over 22,000 h1b visas issued to fill"all the high tech " jobs. Your saying that out of those 12 million unemployed Americans employers could not find 22,000 of them to fill the positions. I would certainly like to see the source to support you claim.

So Franky. Please dispell the dangers of this isotope on infants.Ok....Damny, from your source.: Various reports indicate that the incidence of congenital hypothyroidism is increasing in developed nations, and that improved detection and more inclusive criteria for the disease do not explain this trend entirely. One risk factor documented in numerous studies is exposure to radioactive iodine found in nuclear weapons test fallout and nuclear reactor emissions.
Not exactly a smoking gun. But, interestingly, your "Sources" are very active in the anti-nuclear field and apparently, have published info that looks to be less that accurate: I did find some stuff on this though, because I read.......................Seems like your "source" has issues.....as usual. The basic thesis is fairly simple: The authors claim that a comparison of CDC weekly death rates for a select group of US cities -- from just before and just after the Fukushima meltdown -- will provide a valid picture of the fatal effects of fallout from the Japanese nuclear plant on these US cities of the Pacific Northwest. We will look at this thesis from the standpoint of Hill's Criteria of Causation, recently considered in this Al Fin blog post. - Temporal Relationship
- Strength
- Dose Response Relationship
- Consistency
- Plausibility
- Considerations of Alternate Explanations
- Experiment
- Specificity
- Coherence
.....there are several conclusions to be drawn here: -- There is no spike in infant mortality due to Fukushima. Instead there is an accidental dip during the 4 weeks before the radioactive releases reached the U.S. west coast. -- The infant mortality rate in the northwest U.S. was actually 23% higher in the first 7 weeks of 2011 than after Fukushima, 108 cases in 7 weeks give a weekly ratio of 15.43. We can thus say, by using Sherman and Mangano's own way of phrasing it, that this amounts to a decrease of 23% and is statistically significant. -- The data for the full time period of weeks 1 - 21 amount to 272 infant deaths over 21 weeks, i.e. a weekly rate of 12.95. This is slightly higher than the weekly rate after Fukushima (12.50). -- Janette Sherman and Joseph Mangano have a lot to explain for us...if anybody cares to listen to them after this low point in their so called scientific careers. _Source

Interestingly enough, your "sources" are telling us that the reactor leak caused more issues than the dropping of a nuclear weapons on Japan if you do a little reading about the medical follow-up years after the bombing. I, quite frankly (no pun intended)can't believe that could be the case. I am not, by any means, saying that Fuki was a non-issue, but I think it's been overblown.

"The explosions produced the radioisotope iodine-131, which floated east over the Pacific Ocean and landed through precipitation on West Coast states as well as other Pacific countries. The levels of that isotope were measured in levels hundreds of times greater than supposedly safe levels. Radioactive iodine accumulates in human thyroid glands, and, in babies and fetuses, the radiation can stunt the growth and development of both the body and the brain. That condition is congenital hypothyroidism (which, luckily, is treatable when and if detected early). Fukushima fallout appeared to affect all areas of the U.S., and was especially large in some, mostly in the western part of the nation, the study says.

Market Watch further explains: Just six days after the disastrous meltdowns struck four reactors at Fukushima on March 11, scientists detected the plume of toxic fallout had arrived over American shores. Subsequent measurements by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) found levels of radiation in air, water, and milk hundreds of times above normal across the U.S. The highest detected levels of Iodine-131 in precipitation in the U.S. were as follows (normal is about 2 picocuries I-131 per liter of water): Boise, ID (390); Kansas City (200); Salt Lake City (190); Jacksonville, FL (150); Olympia, WA (125); and Boston, MA (92)…

Damn, When you start citing sources without an agenda, we'll be glad to pay more attention. I'll take scientific American over Ecochildsplay.com any day. Seriously, a "green parenting" blogging site worth about $1500 is the best you can do? That's like citing "Market Talk" as a scientific source. I clicked on the link provided in the story as cited by the author. The story isn't there. Hmmmmmmm....... But not to worry! The author, Jennifer, has the answer...and she's posted it on "mothering.com". Now that's some science! www.mothering.com/community/a/please-pass-the-iodine-ways-to-protect-ourselves-and-our-children-from-the-nuclear-fall-out-coming-from-japanYeah, picking apart your sources is fun. Just like the old days eh?

Sequestration!
Sequester Could Cost U.S. 750,000 Jobs, CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf Says
www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/13/sequester-job-cuts_n_2678701.html
www.forbes.com/sites/paulroderickgregory/2013/03/01/sequester-costs-750000-jobs-from-those-who-gave-us-the-four-million-job-stimulus/Seriously.....do you really read anything you cite? From the Forbes article you source: Elmendorf joins the noisy chorus of doomsayers, who shout “the sky is falling” if we actually cut discretionary spending. In addition to released illegal immigrant criminals, snarled air traffic, fired teachers, and every other imaginable disaster, we now face the loss of three quarters of a million jobs because the recalcitrant Republicans reject reasonable offers from President Obama (who does not communicated with them). Well, Elmendorf, as a good administration solider, gives us yet another reason to petition Congress to back off and let Washington continue to spend.
At least Elmendorf’s 750,000 job-loss figure does not defy reason as does Maxine Waters’s 170 million, which happens to exceed the total number of jobs.
Although Elmendorf did not elaborate on the CBO’s methodology, we know it relies on discredited Keynesian multipliers, which are purported to predict how much GDP will increase for a given increase in government spending (or fall for a given reduction in government spending). These GDP gains or losses are then translated into job gains or losses.
Forbes isn't buying this crap either....... Last I looked, airlines were still flying, airport were open, prisons still held prisoners, and the asswipes in D.C. were still doing nothing and getting paid to do so. There is absolutely no evidence that the sequester will cost one million jobs. Even the TSA says that the job losses they quoted weren't actual layoffs, they were current job openings in the form of additional jobs, in other words, MORE FEDERAL EMPLOYEES that they want that haven't/won't be hired.
