in a galaxy called the US Army, there was a new item of equipment being made available. It had many uses, including the transport of people and things. High ranking individuals soon discovered that it's use as a transport would add prestige to their image and so all the high ranking muckity mucks each wanted one.
Here is an example of how far one high ranking muckity muck would go to cash in on prestige. It may be the reason this piece of equipment was soon withdrawb from service. There just weren't enough low ranking muckity mucks in the US Army to provide the necessary entourages that the high ranking muckity mucks all demanded.
That, and the fact that the US Calvary didn't have any.
