Could you imagine waking up one day and finding out you where Oprah's long-lost half sibling?
I'm successful and financially stable, and I would still ask her for money! Or at least a job. (And I have a job!)

(And I have a job!) I'm too light skinned to be Oprah's sister. But I'd still ask her for money too. I wouldn't ask for a job because I don't ever want to work for anyone ever again.

I'd probably ask if I was being punked at first. Then, I'd ask her if it was okay I never watched any of her shows as I didn't care for her style. Then, I'd probably be kicking myself for ever opening my mouth as she never spoke to me again.

I wouldn't ask for money directly. I'd hint around about what cool stuff she had.

She isn't in my DVR either, and I've made a distinct point to NOT tune to the OWNetwork - but still - I would be pretty frickin' awestruck to have blood in common with that chick!
(P.S. My skin color is as far from hers as possible, too.)

I'd hit her up for pie.
You know she's got warehouses full of it.

Mmmmmm....it would depend on the flavor. If she has cherry or blueberry, heck yes. I'm not a custard or cream pie kinda gal.

::I'd hint around about what cool stuff she had. ::
But totally subtly, right? Like "oooooh, I always make sure to turn into your 'favorite things' episode. Gosh, I really love all the same things you like....I guess it's that totally unbreakable family bond, right? Blood really is thicker than water! By the way, I think it's really awesome you give all of that stuff to people you don't even know and aren't related to in any way at all! Wow! You treat strangers sooooo great. I'm so glad we're not strangers anymore. We're FAMILY!"
Like that?

Done: you guys can take whatever flavor she has, just leave me the cherry and blueberry.
I don't like Key Lime in anything; DH loves it. I've had very few good apple pies, so that's where my prejudice against it must come from.

I haven't had many good apple pies either, but my mom's is really good. I've used the same recipe before, and it came out decent--not as good as hers, but still better than most. But I haven't had it in years, hers or mine.

For those who believe in God....can you pray that EFCO is Oprah's long-lost half sibling?

With follow-up hints sprinkled over several additional occasions, and then when she let me drive it, I'd drop the "I've always wanted one of these. Thanks for letting me drive it sis"

Not sure if Oprah is willing to acknowledge a guy living in his parents' basement, playing on the computer all day, drinking 200-proof coffee and eating Cheetos, but heck, we can only try.

Nancy - we'll just tag-team her! I want the coconut, banana and chocolate cream pies!! YUM!!
I don't like cream pies particularly, pumpkin is the one exception for a custard (oh, and quiche). Someone else mentioned key lime, I've tried several, have not been impressed. Lemon meringue is good, apple (my fav) and the occasional slice of pecan.
Had to add tart cherry pie, ummmmmmmmmmmmmm
I remember the first time I made a pecan pie, I couldn't believe it was basically sugar and fat. It must be Paula Deen's personal favorite.

I'd let her take me to Grand Cayman so we can have a slice of key lime cheesecake at the Lobster Pot. Greatest. Cheesecake. Ever.

Please, please, please don't make an Oprah thread about masturbation.
