Get second, even third opinions. My 04 Caravan with 34,000 miles on it was conking out at stoplights at times. I took it into the local Firestone and they called and said it needed a major tune up to the tune of 850 bucks. That sounded absurd to me so I called around and dealers charged about the same so I thought, well I will just pick out some small shop out of the phone book and ask him.He was the first one to ask how many miles were on it,and said he doubts that what it needs, bring it in and he will take a look. He changed out a module of some sort for 200 bucks and it worked great. After spending 850 bucks my car would still not have been fixed if not for him.

If the shop can not tell you exactly what is causeing the problem them you need to go else where. And a shop that tells you whats wrong without looking at it is only guessing. Every problem needs a diag to find the root cause
