My question is did they file seperate income tax reports. If so does he need to report it?

Doesn't matter, needs to be disclosed by federal judges. I'm sure him and Geithner bought the same version of Turbo Tax.

Thanks ExPat: I was not sure. I was not aware federal Judges had some different rules.

Failure to report on disclosure is merely administrative... question really should be, did they pay the required income tax. My take would be yes. No foul here.

it sounds like there is definitely a foul, but not a huge one.

it sounds like there is definitely a foul, but not a huge one. I see it as a huge foul. I've seen the questionnaires, and they aren't really that difficult, it asks you to list all your income and all your spouse's income. So either he has absolutely no reading comprehension skills, or he's lying, which I see as a problem for a judge.

Tim Geithner lied on his income tax, for a job that has the IRS under its perview. Perhaps the judge and wife-pooh keep separate finances as well as file separately. Nothing more than a red herring.

I just wanted to comment that I agree with all who have commented that this issue is so unimportant that it is absurd to comment on it.

Perhaps the judge and wife-pooh keep separate finances as well as file separately. Nothing more than a red herring. I never said Tim Geithner was fit for the job either. It doesn't matter whether or not Clarenence and his wife kept separate finances. Judges must disclose certain information, and if you aren't willing to do so, or can't read the form, you're not fit to be a judge. I don't care if he's liberal, conservative, constructionist, or activist. It goes for every single judge out there.
