Update: I have 6 screws in my lower jaw and about 8 titanium plates in my upper jaw. All of this to correct an open bite. The front portion of my lower jaw would not make contact with my front portion of my upper jaw when my mouth was closed. So, once the swelling goes down, I will have a perfect smile. ;D I'm in no pain right now. Just trying to force myself to drink ensure, water, shakes and eat yogurt. My worse problem is my dry lips but those should get better with the ointment I'm applying. I just have to continue to drink and drink and drink so that I don't lose a lot of weight. I'm getting plenty of sleep. I'm thinking of dedicating tomorrow's naps for some of you hard-working slackers. You know who you are. Okay, back to watching midget wrestling and midget basketball bloopers online.

Midgets? Although I guess if the pain pills are good enough, anything would be entertaining. Oooo if you go fly you'll get the pat down. Too bad it won't be from a girl Good luck with the recovery.

Aw, Spydah, nice to know you have a sense of humour. Hope you feel better. Inhale a few girlie drinks, and use a straw. I am sure a few of the posters here have recipes they can provide.

Nancy, right now I can't use a straw yet. But as soon as I can, I will put it to good use.

When I make daiquiris I put all kinds of real fruit in them so they are sorta healthy. Minus the sugar and large amount of rum. Yoplait makes smoothie kits now, they are in the freezer section.

spydah I hope you get well fast. Our son had his jaw broken and some bone removed to correct a bite problem. They wired his mouth closed. We carried wire cutters with us in case of an emergency.

Aw, Spydah, nice to know you have a sense of humour. Hope you feel better. Nancy, I'm physically ill right now, not mentally ill. The mental damage was done a few decades ago.

Spydah I wish you a fast recovery! Hopefully you don't fly often because your going to set off some alarms with that much metal in you. Thinking about it, when your well will you eat in slow motion (like the 6 million dollar man)? Will you have your own theme playing in the background or will you use the one from the TV show?

Spydah get well soon. In the mean time you can entertain us with pain med posting. Is that anything like drunk posting?

Spydah, I feel you pain. I have a mouth full of metal and actually had letter from dentist stating the fact. But guess what set off the alarms in Vegas - a friggin $19.99 watch from SteinMart Hope you get to feeling better and just enjoy the meds while they last...

That is a lot of metal, Spydah! You can't tell in your pictures that you even needed this done! Does this mean you will last longer doing... <<POM hopes if Spydah grins or laughs it won't hurt>>

The 6 screws that I have in my right hip don't set off the metal detector, but the hunk of metal in the other side does though.

Yay for having internet while you're recovering. Get better soon and get your arse back to work A coworker has a few metal plates in his head so he always sets off the alarms, the ex bf had a metal plate in his neck but he usually didn't. Good luck!

Nancy, if there were a Bad Pun of the Day award, you would get it Spydah--I hear that in the movie "Midgets vs Mascots" you'll get a shot of Gary Coleman's...uh...little gary coleman. Just thought I'd let you know if you're really bored.

Spydah; I hope you have a smooth and speedy recovery. That does sound pretty rough, but I'm sure you'll get through it. Hang in there.

Spydah, wishing you a speedy recovery, does the prescription bottle have the label " alcohol will intensify the effect" ? Isn't that like an order?
