Ugh, I'm going have to roll out of here by the end of the week. We get tons of goodies and treats from vendors, etc. around Christmas time. We have 4 full time employees and 1 part time so there is NO way we can eat it all. Right now on the table outside my office are cookies, donuts, candy (lots of candy), fruit, chex mix and who knows what else. We're always excited to see that first box delivered, but by the end of it, I don't want to ever see another chocoate. Too bad no one brings us booze like DH gets! So far he's received a bottle of Jack, a bottle of wine, a 6 pack of beer and a 12 pack of beer.
Anyone else stuffing their face at the office?

Blargh. I normally don't weigh myself, but since I had a doctor's appointment on Friday, I know for a fact I gained five pounds lately. I blame it on working for a company that likes to eat. So many people bring goodies in! Our new director of R&D is a fantastic baker! Grr! Our former VP moved to a different division this year, so I'm missing out on the bottles of red and white Christmas present. Even though I have done many projects for her still...

Our gifts of booze have really dropped off, but this week we've had plenty of nuts, cookies and candies. Yesterday was also the department lunch, so that was another food orgy. I've had to scrap my weight loss program until after the holidays. It just seemed pointless, but I will have my work cut out for me in January.

I work in a really conservative, religious community (about an hour from where we live) so it would be totally unheard of here to give alcohol as gifts. One of DH's clients always hands out bottles of wine with their employee photo as the label, its very cute and I look forward to it every year since he is not a wine drinker.
Yeah, there isn't going to be any weight loss happening here either, just yesterday we received a FIVE POUND box of chocolates.

I'm going have to roll out of here by the end of the week.
I've been working out like a demon so I can eat all the crap that's in the office. It's not working though, I'm still going to have to roll out of here. I think I've got the binge part down.

A box of Godiva chocolates from a vendor. Good thing I swim and run and bike through the holidays.

I used to hate those big cans of stale flavored popcorn ... when I used to work it seems like we got several of those every year. (Plus, of course, chocolate.) Oh, and the occasional fruitcake.

So far we've gotten gifts from Wine Country, Harry & David, Taste Unlimited (a local gourmet shop), peanuts (we are in VA after all), cookie trays, gourmet coffees with coffee cups, specialty teas, homemade candies, and I don't think I've remembered it all.
I really need to diet beginning tonight! Thank goodness I'm off tomorrow and Friday; I won't be tempted with all this food.

I work in the food industry. The holidays are bad. There is food daily in some form or another. Cheese tastings, olive oil tastings, etc. When I have to look at our inventory, I want to go into a corner and just close my eyes so I don't get a stomach ache. And then there are the calendars -- do you know how hungry you can get by looking a picture of a really yummy dessert or entree daily? It kills me some days.

At my last job we did pretty well in the holiday food too. I liked when Harry&David or similar gifts came so I could get some fruit instead of all the high calorie stuff.
