I have been looking at them for awhile now, and they seem great. I am going to buy a trial pack to test them out, but thought I would ask for reviews here too.

Hadn't heard about them being used for laundry, but I understand they are a good remedy for migraines. I meant to do some reading on this and forgot until I saw your thread.

Sam, I haven't tried them, but I know people that like them. They are on babysteals today if you want to compare the price: babysteals.stealnetwork.com/

Oh, and for getting bananas out, have you tried bac-out? It's an enzyme cleaner that I use to get smells out of my cloth diapers, and it has gotten out every food stain that Maggie has managed to make so far.

Econ, the babysteals deal is what reminded me about them thanks for the recommendation on the bac out. Where do you get it?

Sam- I'm working up the courage to try her yogurt recipe. I have made broth in the crock pot after reading her instructions.

I checked them out, but I wash in cold water (except underwear and towels) and they say soap nuts aren't so great for cold water. Unfortunately, the liquid they recommend is way more expensive. I have my son make the laundry soap for me so it's not any work for me at all

Apple, I read that too. But some tips were to 1) make liquid out of the nuts (by boiling with 4c water, then straining out the nuts - seemed easy), or 2) put soapnuts into fabric bag & run hot water over it into the machine for a minute or so (just to get enough to start the soap activating), then switch back to cold & add in the clothes, or 3) warm in 1c water, into machine & then add in clothes.
Mine just came in the mail yesterday. I am so excited to try them out!!!

First two loads done. I ran hot water first, just an inch or so, let the soak for a minute, then loaded in the clothes. Results were clean clothes, no scent at all, and soft towels. DH was very skeptical, but he seemed happy with the way the clothes came out of the dryer ( no dryer sheets added). I want to see how the clothes line dry, but so far so good ETA - they passed the line-dried test too. They smelled so fresh, and still came out really soft
