Is there anyone here of the Wiccan persuasion?
I have long been curious about the belief.

I have a nice wicca patio set with floral cushions. Does that help?

There's different levels of Wicca - some more extreme, perhaps. Most Wiccans are into the spiritual aspect of the practice, which is more into finding your spiritual path, embracing nature, meditation, peace, etc. Many are firm believers in our spirits being reincarnated. Many have symbols, like the Ankh, crystals, candles, incense, etc. (Wccans are often mistaken as practicing witchcraft - which isn't the case) (Now I miss MDW again)

Somehow, I still feel his presence closeby. I remember when he wrote me a long note on here about Pranic Healing. It was a form of meditation and visiualization to practice on how to cut away the bad experiences from the past with imaginary scissors. You visualize long threads and cut them to little pieces and then sweep them down a hole with a broom. I'm sorry I didn't keep that PM to look back on as I deleleted a lot of his posts as I was upset with him for not replying towards the end. I regret that now. here ya go!

I know a few Pagans, I don't think any of them consider themselves Wiccan though. Two follow a Norse based tradition and the third is more Nature based. They don't usually use "wiccan" or "wicca" when refering to themselves or their beliefs.
ADDED: 'spirituality' and finding the path or the journey of life seems to be the themes my Pagan friends refer to. They seem rather unconcerned by my atheism. I think they'd say something like 'we are all on our own journey' so atheism is my journey and doesn't threaten their 'universe/world view' in any way.

I'm agnostic. A "religious" or "spiritual" belief system based on nature is the only sort which I could see accepting, at least in part. I don't know any pagans or wiccans. I have Googled about the subject, but it seems to be huge and I find it hard to digest much.

Good point Petunia. Something to consider POP.. Jesus said, "If those who lead you say to you, 'See, the kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father. But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty. Harvesting Energy From Humans The next big thing in alternative energy: your body. Wasted energy from your movements may not be enough to power your house, but it will be charging your cellphone and more within the next decade www.popsci.com/environment/article/2009-01/harvesting-energy-humans

Petunia: Modern Wicca is more a spiritual lifestyle - largely based on more ancient Pagan and Celtic rituals and/or beliefs.
This includes many things, including meditation, nature, animals, amulets, natural foods, etc.
Some people think that Wicca is witchcraft, which is untrue. (That's because some people who believe in and practice witchcraft call it Wicca - giving it a bad name).
Think of it more spiritual lifestyle - like the early Native Americans lived. There's a lot of information you can get about Modern Wicca at bookstores, or the library. There's even some good sites online with more detailed desscriptions of Modern Wicca. (Just be cautious of sites that promote Wicca as "spells and voodoo").

It is unclear to me how what Jesus said could possibly be relevant to my question about Wicca.

It's about religion POP, it's about the spirit(God) or "energy" and how it's everywhere. How realizing that you carry the spirit in you is all you need in life and that not living like this can lead to depression and angst(poverty).

I'm interested in what you have to say; I'm not really interested in what the Bible reports Jesus has to say. If I sounded snippy, that was why.
