I get sick. This has been a bad fall/early winter for me. I think I've got a sinus infection. I'm so miserable. I'm going to see a doctor after work. Hopefully I can get something to make me feel better before Christmas Eve.  And with that, I'm done with my whining. I just needed to have a little pity party as I drag myself through my final days at work.  |

I'm normally sick around the holidays too! I had my cold last week, though. BF has it right now.

RJ, I'm just hoping I don't feel WORSE soon. She got a couple of shots at the doctor yesterday (I think) and they told her she could be contaigious for a week. Is that true???

She should stay home. If I thought I had the flu I wouldn't go near anyone. I've been trying to keep my distance even though I'm pretty sure that sinus infections aren't contagious.

I'm betting she got the full service guilt trip from my mom. lol At the same time, Mom will be on her case about not touching anything or breathing on anyone and will probably have germ-x every-freaking-where.

CL, geez, you've got a lot of karma. You're going to give POM a run for her money. Last year at Christmas I was so sick and my mom knew it when she went to pour me a glass of wine, and I turned it down. |

Yep. It was horrible. I felt so awful I couldn't even stand the thought of having a glass of wine. If I don't want wine and/or coffee, I'm definitely not myself.

Same think happens to us around Thanksgiving. Maybe your like us & allergic to something that blooms in that time frame? We think ours is caused by Mountain Ceder but don't know. It lasts about 3 months & starts within a week or so before or after Thanksgiving. This year was a late start & we are just now feeling like garbage. Two years ago it was so bad that we both felt like we were going to die. Oh & coughing, I've never experienced anything like it before. I once thought that I was going to pass out because of lack of oxygen. I couldn't stop coughing long enough to take a breath. Tylenol with Codeine isn't much of a pain killer but as a cough suppressant it is wonderful. Just a thought but if it happens the same time every year that might be it.

I have a couple of those that I borrowed from my dad. I think I'll be taking one before bed tonight. My head was pounding so bad last night that I couldn't sleep. I took a Darvocet I had left over from when I gave birth last year. I'm only sorry I didn't take it sooner. I got desperate around 3 a.m. I should have taken it at midnight.

time of the year for me too. I have to remember to keep
the humidifier going and drink enough water.
