In the immortal words of "Papillion" "I am still here you bastards". Hello to all my old market talk comrades! I hope you all are doing well! Atlanta is one of the hardest hit cities in the country. I am 53 years old never known anyone to have a home foreclosed on. Now in the last month a relative and a co-worker have lost em. Wow, unemployment here still around 10%. Business last year was slightly down 3%(dragging the bottom I guess). Our company is like a bad case of the flu...just will not go away. LOL With all the QE going on all over the world I see no reason for the stock market and Gold to do anything but continue their rocket like climb!! None and I mean none of the money is making it to main st.
Thus, throw everything you got at the market and gold! Happy New Year you Kings and princes of America. I hope 2012 is a great one and not the last one...Good day and may God bless!!

Wow, unemployment here still around 10%.' bga, sometimes it just takes things to hit a bit closer to home. And it is then, and always will be,that thought expands. You and I are close to the same age. You and I very well live to different life styles. However as we have discussed in the POST,we are of the same as we are human. And it is at this juncture that one must question the virtues of others. Small buisness still hanging out? YOU BET THEY ARE!!! And those such buisnesses as old Kmans should thrive if not in debt notes, why bartering for sure! Jan. 4,2012 - Trading Out: The Rise of Bartering www.linuxinsider.com/story/74088.html

At the moment...I will take that paper...not apposed to barter....done that many times...from dinner to heavy equipment..If that is the case ..me and the Mrs. move to the country house with the barn. See....No matter what comes. I will always sell what is in demand.

Morning texas! Say,have you been following this ongoing? Oct. 7,2012 - Your right to resell your own stuff is in peril It could become illegal to resell your iPhone 4, car or family antiques www.marketwatch.com/story/your-right-to-resell-your-own-stuff-is-in-peril-2012-10-04Why how in the heck would one be able to justify 'net worth' if you are unable to outside of a price purchased on tag? A Ferrari does go up in collector value does it not? So one would be stuck holding as it would not be worth selling? I rekon this is why there has been that reborn movement for the past couple of years in 'bartering'. And come to think of it,we did discuss the scenario of a couple of years ago. My how time flies. And what about the nations Goodwills, and others for non-profit? We do understand that DEBT has it's foot not only in the door, but is inside the house, however no resale.

My business is up a little, I had two good projects this year, low profit margin though. no more on the horizon, most of the work now is removing or moving equipment from stores as they close. just cleaned out my warehouse, tired of paying rent on equipment I can't sell because most of my customers have no money left. most of the equipment was better than what my customers are using. Just gave the best away to most loyal friends, hauled the rest to the scrap yard, What a shame. Many of these friends have been with me for 25 years.

Sorry to hear about your business, One of the things that helped me last year was I sold a lot of old hot rod parts on Craigslist left over from my go faster days in 1960's and 70's. I was surprised how fast they sold.

Morning Oldcoyote Pocket watches, coins, jewelry, old dish. old kitchen items, etc.
Almost anything that is small and has value. Do some furniture, but do not have enough space for very many big items.

Down trend continues Nov. sales $329.50. Off .5435% from last year and off .5950% from average of last 2 years.
Lack of housing sales are killing furniture sales and zero interest rate policy is leaving middle age and retired without disposable income for their collectibles purchases.
The up side is I don't give a damn about income tax rates, because I don't have any income.
Obama enjoy 100% of nothing!
