Daphne, are you in MA? I'm in the Boston area (north) and we're having some crazy snow here right now too... or is your current storm our next one? lol

We're not as cold as Kimber, but it's still pretty freakin' cold here, it's about 10. I'll happily trade piles of snow for 30 degree weather.

DH went to work at midnight so I figured I would let my truck have the garage for the night. Even though it was plugged in, it was so cold, I couldn't even get the ignition to move. So I hopped in the blazer (not plugged in) she growled and protested a bit, but started so she got to stay in the garage last night. The thermometer in it read -26 when I put her in the garage. This morning when I went to start it, it read 8 above, but after I backed it out it went back down to -17

I'm about 45 minutes north of Boston and TIRED OF SHOVELING! Or just lazy. Maybe both! I'm about 30 minutes north of Boston, we're probably neighbors! and yeah - I usually like the snow, but enough is enough for a little while!

Boston was freezing this past weekend. I was actually happy to come back to NY and its 25-30 degree weather LOL. Plus the snow only goes ankle deep over here as opposed to Boston's thigh high fun.
The sun is already out and the snow from last night is turnign to slush...fun times. At least, I didn't have to use any more of my time.

plugged in? do you have an electric truck??
I'm about 30 minutes west of Boston. I had about 3" of snow on the ground when I left my house this morning, and only slid a few times on the drive to work. bonus - I got the last spot in the garage under my building. ;D

Not uncommon around here.

I have a friend in Schenectady so yeah, she gets worse winters than we do a lot, lol. I visited that part of NY this summer for the first time, we went to Lake George. Beautiful up there, I want to come back to do some hiking in the Adirondacks!

Hi neighbors!! We should plan a "snowstorm" party for the next Nor'Easter to blow through these parts.... ...I'm pretty sure that'll be next week, if I saw the forecast correctly?

We are enjoying a snow day in Wilmington,Ma. I will need to shovel today because my husband's at work. He usually snowblows the driveway if he's home. I hate the thought of getting out into the cold.

Metrowest, here. I'm done shovelling for the season. Doctor's orders. I love that man. Although I don't love the pain I'm in.
Freakin snow.

We only had 5 inches of snow, but it is bone chilling cold, and the roads are icy. Since the temperature is 6 degrees right now, we canceled the reservations for our anniversary dinner tonight. I'm staying in tonight too. I'm going to freeze my ass off enough tomorrow night when I head to Boston for a show! I figured I could use a night to unwind anyway, seeing as I realized at about 4:15 this afternoon that the majority of the work I did this week might be for naught if the workstation ends up needing a re-formatting on Monday morning. grr.... so right now, I'm relaxing with a glass of wine and catching up in here. BC/BU hockey is on in the background, and I'm going to clean up dinner dishes in a few. I just finished up a very yummy teriyaki salmon and vegetable fried rice. what's everyone else up to?

So I'm stuck home with snow (again) and already bored out of my mind.... Is there any drama on the docket for today? Because I'm gonna need to shovel and maybe even shower at some point and I'd like to schedule it all appropriately -- I certainly wouldn't want to miss the fireworks! Just looking for a time frame for when I should start popping the popcorn. Kthanks! how can one be board staying home? we have TV, DVD, Blu-Ray Player, VCR, Three 7 feet tall book cases of DVD's, Computer, and Video Games. Hell I even have 3...4? subscriptions of magazines I need to catch up on. oh and not to mention the exercise equipment - but then I like shovling as exercise these days!

Nice avatar EFCO. It's serious snow when the shoveled areas by the driveway or at intersections are so high that you cannot see a car coming. It's serious snow when it has to be snow blown to another part of the yard because there is no place to put any more. I nearly laugh when I ask someone what are you doing? I just got in from blowing! Edit: A friend snarcked on the tennis court that if you don't like how I'm playing then tell me where to go. I told her to do somewhere warm where you had to have ice in your glass to keep cool. She got woozy. I almost hurled when I heard Australia was in the 100s.
