deziloooooo I am more or less against everything President Obama is trying to do (true) because I believe that most of it starts with changing our present form of government. I also realize that a lot of Americans want to do that. As for the office of President, I have nothing but respect for it. As for the man (President Obama) I think history will show that he was a very effective President (as in getting the things he wanted to do, done). As for the man, I don't know him so I couldn't say. I have a neighbor that I like & we get along. Yet were are about as far apart politically as possible.

I am thinking by the few examples of your beliefs posted, while you feel you are a hard right In you political feelings , I as a outsider just observing, would suggest a middle to the right.

You might be right in that statement but I think I moved to the far right as most other people moved left. For instance I believe that you that the right to protect your property with no questions asked. For instance if someone broke into my house I will kill him. Once he breaks in I really don't care why he did it nor would I take the time to try to subdue him. He's in, he's dead.

Well that about a intruder, is just being protective of your self and family and has nothing to do with how one feels politcally. Do you actually go along with the posts a few here have put up that those who are from the left politically, have no use for weapons, don't know how to use them, have never used them in confrontations with the bad guys and if forced to would sing "kumbaya " instead of actively protecting their families and them selves.
In respect to you being a good guy/well spoken I won't put up the ROFL smiley but on the above....REALLY.

PS Just saw the poll figures and like what I saw, a pretty even split
between the two sides..pretty civil discourse, IMO , much better then the old, some real discussion, which is unusual on these boards, very little moderator intervention, a nudge every now and then..it's good in my opinion, glad to see it.

The whole purpose of this poll was to get a feel as to who is actually participating in all of these other polls being posted. I wanted to see who our sample group was made up of, so as to know just how reliable any of the polls actually are. For example, if this board was made up of primarily left wing or left leaning participants, certain results would not come as any real surprise. The same would hold true if this were a right wing/leaning board.

I have to agree with dezilooooo in that it appears that the board is pretty much split down the middle as to the leanings of the participants. Now, we can have open discussion(s) on what issues that we can and cannot agree on and know that the cards are not stacked against one group or another.

If I can quote the great philosopher, Clark Griswold; "This is goooood. Gooood. Real goood."
