I know there are some who remember well President Kennedy's inauguration address hat are here on the zone but i am thinking there were so many who don't , don't have a clue or if alive just to young to have it register. President Kennedy was the first President that I was eligible to vote for. Yes I did, we middle to the left are predictable plus Jackie was so hot..sorry Pat , your were fine but I am sure you would agree.{Oh right , Pat was Nixon's wife, Kennedy's opponent.} You know he was a Martyred President and the story of his demise, but for those who think Obama, forget the politics for a moment, is a good speaker, he's good, very good, but Kennedy, his charm, his humor, even the far right would drop everything to listen to him speak and not to hiss or boo. Posting his first and only inauguration address for those who are interested and if interested in hearing his voice, suggest googling and finding a audio, the man was so good and this speech, was outstanding. Just to set th speech up in context of the world..50 years ago we were in the midst of the "Cold War " with the Soviet Union, China had not been opened by Nixon, Eisenhower our great General of WW2 was being replaced after eight years in office . School kids still were being to taught to duck and cover [under their desks if you can believe it] in case of a Nuclear war and the Cuban Missle Crisis was still in the near future. World was a scary place. -------------------------------------------------------- www.bartleby.com/124/pres56.html

overlooking your gushing......thanks for posting the link. I haven't seen the entire speech (born in '78, thanks) before, but have gotten more than the average in excerpts having grown up in MA. I've actually shared a link on my FB page today, Jimmy Fallon challenges the country to take another look at themselves in an effort to answer JFK's challenge - "ask what you can do for your country."
