FTI - I'd really like to see the plan you propose move forward, but I don't see it happening. Personally don't think the folks running the show really want things to be "fixed". It goes against their goal of sucking all the money into the black hole of the select few. They really don't care about the little people like you do. Sorry to be a total pessimist on this.  |

Fom my weekly newspaper column that comes out Sept1st How To Solve The Nations Financial Crisis The biggest obstacle we have is the deficit; it has to be reduced quickly and decisively. One way would be to give US corporations a 5-10 year tax certainty program. By allowing US corporations to pay a globally competitive tax rate of 20-25% these corporations would have a parameter as to what to expect as they plan for hiring and expansion for the coming years. As a component of that; US corporations are sitting on approximately $4 Trillion dollars that they do not feel comfortable committing to expand, acquire competitors to grow, hiring new employees or growth/ research and development. In exchange for the tax certainty program they would give the US Treasury those $ 4Trillion dollars, thereby reducing the nation’s debt from $14 Trillion to $10 Trillion. With the establishment of the “Super Commission” and its deadline of September expected to review and identify another $3 Trillion in cuts and reductions; we could have a plan to cut the deficit in half this year! With $3 Trillion in reductions and $4 Trillion in cash that would cut our deficit in half, send a message to the rest of the world that we were serious and restore out AAA credit rating quickly and decisively. As for my association with the Financial Services Institute in Washington DC for several years and its work with the Banking , Financial Services , Ways and Means and Finance Committees I can tell you we were all disappointed with the fact that all these banks were “bailed” out with the public’s money without regard to taxpayers. We all know that housing has lost value and what was expensive is now “cheap”. One way to deal with that solution and protect taxpayers/borrowers is to write down those properties and mortgages to reflect the real value and cost of those properties. Let’s say if we reduced your mortgage by 40% because your value has decreased 40% many could stay in their home and many mortgages would be performing. In order to protect the banks… IF… values returned you could have a five year re-set. After 5 years that mortgage would be reviewed and either re-set upwards if value returned or permenately reduced. These two critical points would go a long way to restore confidence both at home and around the world.

Do you think our government really cares about senior citizens for any other reason than they need their vote. If you don't pay taxes, you can count on being first on the 'no vaccine' list. If you pay taxes and are on Social Security, they will work the percentages.
WORK HARD AND PAY LOTS OF TAXES and your chances will increase exponentially.

DD, What firm are you working with and on what Protein or polypeptide are you using to develop the level of Antibodies needed for true protection. I have had a project with Salmonella for years with the idea that some of the coating must be common..The theory from ETH has destroyed a lot of hope. We started the project in 1974 with some work at the Clayton Biochemical Inst. after seeing a common poly peptide with three Serological Types. Just a though and I know it is off topic..
