Just a guess here, but it's probably because things that are "sexual related" don't belong in Market Talk. Some of us would like to view the board at work or in our family rooms; if you want that kind of content, put it in "E.E." or the Adult section here. You would not take those kinds of pictures to a meeting with a female client, an IRS audit with a female agent, or a female officer of the bank you were applying for a loan with. Why do you think they are appropriate here?

the Yoga thread didn't belong here. A LOT of women thought so. The majority of people I work with are women. No one brought up anything else, no mention of anyone's market expertise ( or lack thereof) and so your side comments really don't have anything to do with the matter. Much like the Yoga thread-

I'm serious about my money and there are only less than five people that have anything of value to offer. I do enjoy the company of the many people here. I created The Break Room as a place to have some laughs. Let's face it. The market is not a very entertaining place. There is no topic. We all just get to enjoy the company of others in our down time.

I resisted the "Working Poor" thread..for the simple reason that this board is not ready for reality. It has an adult content. One of my best friends has a daughter ( If your daughter is a stripper...you f'd up) This young woman refers to her customers as clients. Just like a dental hygienist...imagine that...the only difference is a lap dance. Do I judge her...of course not.....she does however have a 401k and that is where kman is here to assist. Kate-- an insulted woman in a man-cession needs to move along. I have a great respect for you but much of our current woes stem from designing women getting preferential treatment to get into roles they have absolutely no business to be in and decision engagement where they don't equally share in the repercussions.
I, for one, think Social Entertainers play an important role in society but need medical direction not entrepreneurial license. Not to sound vulgar, but a lap dancer has the ability to spark up the passion in a middle-age to senior male that prevents him from becoming the cranky bastard we end up dealing with. I think "medically-supervised escorts" would dramatically reduce the rates of divorce, marital disharmony, family dysfunction and spousal abuse.
