Mornin', all. Kman, a thread can't do anything by itself. The BREAKROOM is fine. The problem lies with the posters, as I see it, and I'm not pointing the finger at one, or two. Sometimes, it's necessary to look the other way and ignore some posters that really get your goat. That's not an easy thing to do for many, but it really does work to stop all this animosity. If you don't read it, you don't know it was said and it cannot possibly offend you. If an accusatory post is based on nothing solid, what can it possibly do to the person at whom it's aimed? Nothing, that's what. It's simply not true. It has no substance. If someone is saying something unflattering about someone else, defending only gives it credence. If it's ignored, those who know the person being denigrated know better. New posters will find out, soon enough, where they fit and what they can believe. Most posting here are pretty sharp. Give them credit for that, ignore the jibes and nasty remarks, and just continue to enjoy the posters you've come to know and like here, folks. Let the little stuff go. It ain't all that. Really. Getting into a bruhaha over some of these remarks only makes it appear there's some real issue on the table. At least, that's how I see it. Hope you all have a bright day. I've got to work tonight and tomorrow night, so have to get last-minute chores done and get a nap in before the penny dreadful starts for the night. |
