The next level: Saudi, UAE, Kuwait urge citizens to leave Lebanon

Never missing an opportunity to add President Trump to generate clicks, but still accurate with points such as the following:

Saudi Arabia's moves over the past few days are bringing it closer to direct war with Iran

Since the crackdown began on Saturday, the Saudis have considerably ramped up their accusatory rhetoric towards their neighbors....

...when he was first put in his top position by his father King Salman in June, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman was already known as a hardcore hawk against Iran. Just a month before he was made crown prince, bin Salman declared that peace dialogue with Iran was impossible....

...There may be more intermediate steps to come, but we can all see where this is leading. A direct conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran, as opposed to the proxy war they're fighting in Yemen, looks inevitable.

Speaking of proxy wars, if that direct conflict happens would it make fighting between Saudi Arabia and Iran a U.S. proxy war? The answer seems to be yes, especially when one connects the very clear and sequential dots listed above. The harder question to answer is whether such a war, proxy or not, can be avoided.

The fact is that Iran and the U.S. have been in a state of cold war for almost 40 years. Iran has done almost all of the killing during that period, in terrorist attacks carried out by Iran's proxies including Hezbollah and other armed groups who targeted U.S. troops during the war in Iraq.

But Saudi-Iranian hatred has been even more intense during this same period. They remain the two leading combatants in the centuries-old Sunni-Shia civil war for Islamic supremacy. Iran is the more powerful military player while Saudi Arabia has more cash and control of the Islamic holy sites of Mecca and Medina.

I have not Dj. I just took a look at it now and I will read it for sure; it looks interesting.

On the flip side to what I can tell of the content is what Bimetal and myself have discussed a few time over the years. He tells a story about how his mom said the best thing to do is bleed them dry while conserving our oil. I think this idea that B's mom brought up steams from something that has been understood since the Founding Fathers time. I have brought this topic up in past discussions with you, but to touch base again;

This is also where my thread "A different perspective on the deep state" comes into play. If you look at the state of the Saudi economy; their "Vision 2050" or whatever; and how the USA/North America is poised to dominate the energy industry; bleeding them dry while playing Islam against Islam is essentially what was accomplished.

The wild card in the situation turned out to be Putin and his delusions of grandeur. Now, we have a global conflict instead of a regional one; and yes Baer seems to have hit the nail on the head as to why; the Wahhabi schools around the world have bread an Islam that - globally - almost exclusively follow this line of thought.

i think you would enjoy that.  Baer is a former CIA guy, and really gets the situation, imo.

I have only read the prologue - ‎and since the book has been vetted by the CIA I can imagine there is more that he can't say - but, since the 1980's it's been planned on what would happen with Saudi oil off the market.(I'm guessing this is where Bimetal's moms words of "bleed them dry before we tap our supply" come into play)

The way Baer describes it, the Saudi people have ZERO interest in modern life(they want to live in tents and eat dates)‎, and as we know the Saudis have been funding - along with the GCC - Wahhabi militia and schools across the globe. 

So, if we extrapolate this data we have to come to the conclusion that since they are funding the schools and militia, the Saudi royalty and Arab allies have ZERO interest i‎n modern life and are now starting a war with Iran with the idea that one way or another Islam will dominate the world. AKA, the Saudis are in the motions to take their own oil supply off the markets now that they have completely drawn Russia and China into this conflict.(Essentially, exactly how the data in this thread has been compiling these past couple years, AKA ex CIA is confirming geopolitical events outlined here).
