An Middle East military analyst has come out said what we already knew, or should have known from reading the deep capture info posted last year. That would be that the IS is receiving money from the Saudi's and most likely other gulf states.

It's crazy that their are protests all across the world because of what Israel is "doing" -defending themselves-. Yet, Muslims are massacring other Muslims and there are Muslims across the world joining the fight to take part in the massacre... Not to mention, the Iranian media is spinning the IS as some kind of American Zionist movement!

Jihadists make fresh Syria advance: activists

Islamic State jihadists, building on vast land grabs in Iraq, have seized an army position in the Syrian city of Hasakeh, an activist group said Sunday.

On another front in Syria's complex civil war, rebels seeking President Bashar Assad's ouster captured a weapons depot in Hama province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said....

The latest advance came a day after IS took over Division 17 in Raqa province.

On another front, Syrian rebels in Hama province captured Khattab and Rahbeh villages, taking over arms depots, said Observatory director Rami Abdel Rahman.

Rebels, he added, are now "advancing toward Hama military airport," a key army position and site of one of Syria's most feared prisons.

Amateur video posted by activists on YouTube showed some of the weapons seized by the rebels in Hama, including rockets, ammunition and mortars.

The Observatory, meanwhile, said the death toll from a car bomb attack Saturday in Atme, on the Turkish border, had risen to nine, among them an Islamist rebel commander.

Another seven people were killed in a separate car bombing the same day in Azaz, also on the Turkish border, the group said.

State television said a "terrorist suicide car bomb attack" hit Homs city in the heart of the country Sunday, causing an unknown number of casualties.

China at risk from Syria spillover

Islamic extremists from China have reached out to the Middle East and some may have been involved in terror activities in Syria and Iraq, China's special envoy for the Middle East said Monday.

Wu Sike, China's special envoy who has recently returned from the Middle East, told reporters during a Monday press conference that China is worried about the role of terror groups in Syria and Iraq.

"Terrorists in Iraq and Syria have provided a base where terrorists from Islamic states, Europe, North America and China have gathered, posing a great threat to all the other countries in the world," Wu said.

"China is one of the countries that have suffered from terror activities. Solving the conflicts in Iraq and Syria will benefit China and the entire world," Wu said.

Solving indeed! Once again, the only army big enough to stop the global jihad will be the 200-300 million that will come out of the Chinese depression.

The IS has taken out a key bridge that leads north from Baghdad. While the Iraqi government was claiming that it halted the IS advance on the city the reality is that the IS has circled around to the south and are now coming at the city from the south, east, and north. I just wonder how long until a tunnel bomb goes off in Baghdad?

A rebel leader in the area, who gave his name as Hassan, said Hama military airport was important because "that is where the regime makes its barrel bombs, and warplanes take off from there to carry out air strikes on (opposition-held) areas across Syria".

Barrel bombs have killed hundreds of civilians, especially in rebel areas of the divided northern city of Aleppo, in recent months.

According to the observatory, rebels and their Al-Qaeda ally, the Al-Nusra Front, took over a major checkpoint north of Hama city, which is firmly under regime control, on Monday night.

The takeover of the checkpoint at Tarabih comes on the back of Sunday's capture of a weapons depot in the area.

After adding more land in Syria and Lebanon to their territories, the IS has Isis seizes Iraq's largest Christian town. They also Appear to have Capture Iraq’s Largest Dam which can unleash ‘a 15-foot wall of water’ on Baghdad. For those who aren't students of history, dams were used as weapons - twice - during WW2. Asian shares skid as Obama authorizes air strikes in Iraq
TOKYO (Reuters) - Asian shares tumbled on Friday as investors sought out safe-haven assets on growing fears that conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East could sap global growth, extending losses after U.S. President Obama said he had authorized air strikes in Iraq.

Better-than-expected export growth from China pulled markets off their lows, but failed to offset all the gloom.

Obama said in an address that he authorized targeted strikes to protect the besieged Yazidi minority and U.S. personnel in Iraq, after the Iraqi government requested help.

While it's great to see the Mosul dam out of the hands of terrorists, I have to wonder how long before the Islamic State attacks it again - this time blowing it up.

There was also this article in the Foreign policy magazine that outlines how - not only is the Islamic State the organized terrorist organization on the planet, they are also operating their territory like a well run country. Which means that they are in the process of creating an even bigger force, one that also consists of al-quada fighters. In fact, The Wall Street Journal is reporting the same exact thing.

Since the Islamic State has drawn Iran into the war, is on the verge of destabilizing Lebanon, and has expanded reach into central Asia and africa; I don't know if the right reaction is laughing or crying to how the media is spinning the "de-escalation" of tensions. I mean - it's not like the US and the UK are back in the war in Iraq/the mid east again or anything..... Because if that was going on, that would mean 13 yrs of war did nothing and the "situation" was worse than any western politician wants to admit right now and the last thing that was going on was "de-escalation."

After taking a dozen towns in Syria over the last week, the IS launched an attack on the last Syrian army position in the Raqqa province. This army base contains several warplane squadrons, helicopters, tanks, artillery and ammunition.

If that wasn't bad enough, the mujahideen is showing it's true colors as the Yemen (AQAP) recently announced support for the Islamic State. I would imagine if won't be long now before mujahideen fighters start showing up in southern Iraq - making their way through Saudi Arabia, even though the Saudi's are "against" the Islamic State.

Turkey's Syria exports surge after IS seizure

Meanwhile, exports to Syria have surged, increasing 64 percent last month year-on-year as indicated by figures from the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM). According to a report in the daily Taraf on Wednesdaty,exports through the Öncupınar Border Gate have risen beyond that, increasing 79 percent since IS took control of the neighboring Azaz district in September of last year, although control of the district has since changed hands. While exports crossing through Öncüpınar stood at $434 million in August of 2013, that number shot up to $778 million this month, according to the report.

In January of this year, National Intelligence Organization (MİT) trucks were stopped in the province of Adana en route to Syria by security forces following the orders of a prosecutor, and it was later revealed that these trucks were carrying weapons that likely ended up in the hand of IS fighters. The government tried to cover up the incident by refusing to allow investigations into the matter, saying that the trucks belonged to the MİT.

If Islamic State can prove a "true caliphate", Taliban fighters will join

Fighters from a militant Islamic group in Afghanistan have said they would consider joining forces with the Islamic State (IS).

The Hezb-e-Islami group is allied to the Taliban, and its commander Mirwais told the BBC that if IS can prove a true Islamic caliphate, they would link up with it.

Referring to IS by its Arabic acronym Daish, he said: "We know Daish and we have links with some Daish members. We are waiting to see if they meet the requirements for an Islamic caliphate.

"If we find they do, we are sure that our leadership will announce their allegiance to them. They are great mujahideen. We pray for them, and if we don't see a problem in the way they operate, we will join them."

Saudi Proposal to Move Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) Tomb: Report

“One of Islam’s most revered holy sites – the tomb of the Prophet Mohamed – could be destroyed and his body removed to an anonymous grave under plans which threaten to spark discord across the Muslim world,” the daily said in its report.

The controversial proposals are part of a consultation document by a leading Saudi academic which has been circulated among the supervisors of al-Masjid al-Nabawi mosque in Medina, where the remains of the holy Prophet are housed under the Green Dome, visited by millions of pilgrims and venerated as Islam’s second-holiest site......

....Saudi clerics have long preached that the country’s strict Wahhabi interpretation of Islam prohibits the worship of any object or “saint”, a practice considered “shirq” or idolatrous.

Dr Alawi told The Independent: “People visit the chambers, which are the rooms where the Prophet’s family lived, and turn towards the burial chamber to pray.
“Now they want to prevent pilgrims from attending and venerating the tomb because they believe this is “shirq”, or idolatry. But the only way they can stop people visiting the Prophet is to get him out and into the cemetery.”
