NO MATTER WHAT AT SOME POINT GOLD WILL PLUNGE
and most will agree that the world will, some day, come to an end.
the key part of the the above is the "at some point" which makes the statement itself a waste of written words. but that is in keeping with franks- legacy, which we all hold in reverence.

Nice passive aggressive post. Contributes nothing to the topic. Timing is everything to take advantage of what will be a swing...Already in progress??? We don't know. The warning already issued , by policy change?...Yet to be determined. I know I'm ready.

Contributes nothing to the topic.
contributing to nothing never amounts to anything but nothing. why would you have expected more?
you know as well as i do, that this thread was started to keep the fire alive, all i am doing is supporting this effort.

I don't think everyone would agree with that. IDK if the world will end. However, we all know by looking at the charts above, that gold is a bubble that WILL Pop. That was always the point. I guess to break it down, it's, why play with fire?

This is interesting I thought.. Target of 1720 for MMXII on Sept 21... With over 95% certainty. Now..... gold target \ certainty support $1620.75 \ 96% resistance $1869.94 \ 94% Attachments:

So, if gold ...uh....plunges to $1620, can it officially be called a plunge? Or is a 17% drop from the highs only called a "plunge" when it's applied to stocks? Hmmmmmmm................

Gold down to $1650 That should be the bottom for today. Wow. This move caught some people by surprise. If the Dow closes above 10,700 that would be the third time we tested it. That should be a firm bottom and I would think we would rally from there. BAC bounced off of $6.00 again so even they are looking ok. BAC up almost 4% today. JPM up almost 1%. Gold down BIG. Thanks FTI!!

Gold and silver appear to be in rout. Dropping fast and furious. Lower inflation expectations can destroy such markets as precious metals.

We've been talking about the overblown expectations all year. Some thought inflation was such a huge problem that we added a chart at the top of market talk for it.

The only thing that really means anything here is "the winds of change". That you can bet on. Whether it's black or red, it don't matter. I don't think either camp can take joy out of the last few days. Gold seems to be tanking. The market certainy is uncertain. If you are invested correctly, you just ride out the hurricane. Sooner or later things will settle down and a somewhat saner enviroment will be the order of the day. But then things would be boring.

Yes, I would guess we are at least a year away from inflation risk and even than it may or may not be a problem. Inflation will not be a problem till the housing markets start to come back and wages start to go up and hiring starts to go back up and unemployment starts to go back down. Sounds like some time after the election at best. I agree. We are closer to that point everyday.

It's congress and Europe. Not Obama in my opinion. He has been ready to compromise and get things done for a wile now.
Until the Republicans.. My party... Get there act together, we won't get much done.
