I don't have a problem with 55=70, I DO have a problem with 55=40! Oooh,.. I hate that!!!! But I love it when I'm in DH's Expedition and ride their bumper until they move over... Moving over isn't an option on a winding 2 lane road, and it is really the only direct route to campus and back from work!

If you ride their bumper close enough and far enough, sometimes they'll pull over and let you pass.

I have yet to see any driver other than a truck driver pull over because they are slow!

Cheesy - you have to be very close to them (basically, all they see is your bumper in their mirror - really great when it's night time and your lights are in the mirror too) and confident in your driving abilities.
When I do this, I'm on high alert that they might slam on their brakes.

I definitely think so. I have actually seen people deliberately brake on tailgaters. I am sure they are hoping for a high cash lawsuit.

I don't drive fast anymore. I got too many tickets.
So if someone is riding my ass, depending on my mood, I either find a way to let them pass, or I fuck with them...

Usually, when I am in the mood to not let someone just pass, I could care less about whether someone is going to pop a shot off at me or not.

When I do this, I'm on high alert that they might slam on their brakes. Now I'm going to preface this by saying that, other than in shitty conditions, I don't go below the speed limit (or usually at the speed limit either), but if someone is tailgating me, I slow down. A LOT.

J - I don't tailgate as a general rule, but I will ride their bumper if they are going way slower than the conditions allow for with no obvious reason. If I see a valid reason, I'll respect their descision, slow down myself and back off. I'll then wait for my opportunity to pass them.
I won't ride their ass if I'm already doing 80 and they just happen to be doing 70 in a 60.
