I can't finish my partnership return, because turbo tax won't let me add the new properties for depreciation. They say it is the IRS, but the 4562 is on the IRS website. This is my 2nd year of using Turbo Tax since leaving public accounting. Last year the Form 2441 (dependent care) didn't foot. Next year I'm going to find an alternative to TT.

We got our W2 & a statement from the bank. I haven't opened that yet, but we owe no mortgage, so I'm sure it's just from the huge amount of interest we got on our checking & savings accounts (Not!!)

I got most of my forms with the online websites that represent our bills/income (i.e. student loans, etc.).
I'm waiting for the UE W-2, but I'm not waiting too long as my appointment for filing with our accountant is next Friday and she needs all the paperwork before then.

My wife got her W2 in the mail a couple days ago, so all we're waiting on is mine. I think the student loans have posted the 1098-E info online but it doesn't really matter since we paid more than $2,500 last year (the max deduction) and you don't have to attach the 1098 to your return. ING emailed me that our savings account info is available online today, but again it didn't really matter since I can log on any time to see how much we earned in interest last year.
I'm anxious to file because we always get about a $1000 state refund (and it would be darn near impossible to fix that, since even if we claimed about 10 dependents our withholding would go down about $20 a month - seriously). We should be close to even on federal, and possibly even owe a couple hundred bucks this year.

Nothing from the banks showing interest and no W-2s.

Still waiting on a few 1099's, and my W2.. as soon as I get them, everything is ready to be sent to the accountant. If it were up to me, everything would be at our accountant's Jan 1st (we have a small business, so there's a bit of effort to get everything done, including quarterlies, by Jan 1st, but I still get it done) This year, I literally had our employees' W2's in the mailbox on Saturday Jan 1st. So waiting on this paperwork drives me nuts.

They never send DH W2 til the end of the month. And I swear some of the 1099s take forever.

I believe the deadline for 1099s is around Feb 15. W2s are 1/31. 1099s are much more complicated and a continuously increasing tangled web of govt rules and regulations keep pushing this off and making it much more difficult to produce these. The industry standard cost to produce a single 1099 is $5 to $7. The date due to the recipent depends on the type of 1099. www.irs.gov/efile/article/0,,id=98114,00.html Due dates are at the bottom of this link.

I am the manager of the accounting and payroll department. Our W-2's were attached to paychecks on January 7th Me and the payroll clerk were joking about how many of our employees would be at Amscot during their lunch hour getting a refund anticipation loan

2010 taxes done and filed - received w2 on the 18th and looked up all other forms online! Unfortunately once I filed I received a message saying the IRS won't start processing returns with itemized deductions until mid-february At least Colorado return should be done quickly, we have small refunds coming from both state and federal

My wonderful DH's W-2 was available online for download on January 4... that was really the only thing I was waiting for since we keep track of everything else during the year. I dropped everything off at the CPA's office that day, and he completed our taxes January 5 ... but is holding them until Feb 14 when he can e-file.

We have both of our W-2s, mortgage interest, and some of our bank account info. Still missing some bank account tax forms, my SL tax stuff, and that may be it.

I have both mine and wife's w-2's, and a couple interest statements. I did buy (Costco) and install Turbo Tax already, and the return is pretty much done with missing numbers looked up online or from my own record keeping. I am now waiting for all the papers coming in by mail to compare and / or adjust the final numbers, should be easy. I know I have the right numbers for most, and am very close on the rest. I do it this way every year, and most of the time end up filing early to mid February with a small refund in the last few years (< $1,000). I am kind of having fun doing the taxes with a beer!

We've received everything but DH's W-2 form. They always wait until the very last day to send it out. Now the hard part will be getting DH to load the numbers into Turbo Tax. My part is done.

Received my second home mortgage statement. No, I don't own two homes. I did a refi.
Still waiting on 1099-R for my pension and a form for cashing out whole life insurance for which I paid way more in premiums than I received.
I just need to gather the rest of the information. Most of it is on spreadsheets and enter it in Turbo Tax. I'm not in a big hurry since I can't file until February 14.
