You need a "No, I have a husband and that's his job" option! I agree!!! Honestly though, I don't think my husband has ever read the car manuals either though.

I've looked at mine when necessary, but I haven't read it cover to cover. I can figure out how to turn on cruise control without a book.

I've referred to mine when necessary, but I can't say I've sat and read it from cover to cover.

I refer to it when necessary, but since I have read front cover and I've read the back cover, I can say with confidence that I've read it from cover-to-cover.

I've read pieces and parts when I had to but I have better things to read. And do. If it's gonna get read, it'll be me doing, DH will still be there on the 1st page he needs to read after I've read the whole thing.

Do we need to add "all polls must be approved by beerwench before posting" to the COC?

I should also note that I do have a Chilton's manual for my car -- I got it when a friend was helping me change the CV boots and we couldn't figure out how to get the axel off without breaking the seal.

In the end, we had to put on split boots because Nissans required a special tool to remove the axel and we couldn't find a supply store with one available to rent.

Let me see. I've owned 3 used cars and 7 new cars, and I've read each manual, cover to cover. No, I don't have a life. DW is another one too who has never even touched those books. She says that's why I'm there. I dunno if there are any other reasons for me to be there, but I tell her what she needs to know about the cars.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that operates this way. I don't EVER read directions either and TD always does. It's easier for me to call and ask.
Hell, I can't find half the owner's manuals for my electronics! I think that the one for the vacuum cleaner is on the DR table, but that's only because it's new and I've not had the chance to lose it yet.

WTF? Who voted "I can't read" ? <Tina gets ready to launch her empty Red Cat bottle...then realizes there are a few drops left in the bottom....starts sucking like a hooker giving a blow job

I thought everyone read the Owner's Manual. You do mean the little thing in the glove box, right? I've got the big ol' Factory Service Manual for my truck, and reading that thing cover to cover would be, how should I say this, boring as Hell.

We need a "referred to it when necessary" or "skimmed it" choice!! Exactly. I voted for cover to cover since I do read at least some of it.

I've read mine cover to cover, in that I flipped though it all with a glassy eyed stare.
Then, when a problem arises, like a weird icon lighting up on the dash, I make a frantic call to the dealer, asking them what should I do? They ask me to describe what the icon looks like, and I tell them it appears to be a fellow in lederhosen ____ing a sheep. They then inform me that that means that it's below freezing outside. I guess Germans prefer the company of sheep in cold weather, maybe? Who knew?

They also have an exclaimation point light show up on the dash when your tire psi drops 1 pound. I thought the van was just happy.
