I did a search and found a website where you can input all your ingredients (with amounts) and it will calculate the nutritional information. It's not perfect (for "vinegar" there was no distilled or white vinegar, closest I could get was cider or balsamic vinegar) but if you can get the ingredients close you can get the information. They also had a lot of "name brand" stuff so if you use a type of salad dressing you may be able to narrow it to a specific brand. Also, it has a conversion calculator right there--for "shortening" it only had the option of a tbls, so I had to convert a half cup to tablespoons and then input that amount, but didn't have to go to a new website to convert. You can use decimal points if needed. You tell it how many servings your recipe will make and then it gives you the info for that serving size. I did a cake from an old recipe book, but just calculated the whole thing as one serving, I figure I can do the math when I know how big a serving size would be (depends on the amount of slices I make...) Anyway, this may come in handy for old recipes, homemade stuff, etc, where you want the info but it's not provided. recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-calculator.aspETA: I just write the main info I'm looking for right in my recipe book, that way it's always there.

Another note... If you use a can of cream of something soup or condensed whatever, it has a list of campbell's soups, but you can't input a can, but a "serving". For at least some of the soups, 1 can = 2.5 servings.
Anyone know of any other calculators?

I use the My Fitness Pal app and you can put in recipes and calculate the nutritional value. I never knew my veggie chili was so healthy! ;D

I use the same sort of app on the Livestrong website - MyPlate. it's like spark, but w/o all the annoying emails I used to get from spark. you can put in recipes and meals, it will figure it all out for you. I put in "meals" for my morning coffee (add milk), a bowl of cottage cheese with fruit and granola, and recipes for various things. it's much easier than figuring it all out every time I need to input something!

I gave into the dark side and got a smart phone--I'll have to check out both those apps. Thanks!
