it's exactly what it sounds like. Maybe just discussing it will help some of us stay on the wagon (or get back on). So..... I finally busted out the bread machine and made some 9-grain bread -- YUM YUM!!! ;D

MJ, no matter what you do, you are gonna get heavy! Enjoy and blame it on the kid. You can diet later. Now think of chocolate!

no way. I refuse to be one of those women that uses pregnancy as an excuse to gain 100 lbs. It's also not healthy for the baby to gain so much weight. And I'm cutting back on sweets - I don't want to get gestational diabetes or otherwise screw up the baby.

I only gained 32 lbs with one and 34 lbs with the other. Being pregnant is not an excuse to "eat for two". It really chaps my ass when I hear people say that it is. It isn't healthy for the mom nor is it healthy for the baby for her to gain a bunch of weight. Jen you are doing the right thing. Eat healthy and stay away from bad food.

You get me, you really get me!! maybe with a side of alfredo or something? Ya know...the last time I ate at Olive Garden, the Fettuccini alfredo was disgusting. I make it way better. I get really aggrivated when I spend $$ on pasta that tastes like crap. Now, I just usually make it at home. Way better.

The one I make at home that cheats by using cream cheese in it reheats really well.

I get aggravated when I spend $$$ on pasta or rice at a restaurant, because they're really cheap to make. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know about the overhead and all, but $19.95 for some noodles, alfredo sauce, frozen broccoli and 3 shrimp?

We rarely go to OG anymore, mostly because the food is not worth the ridiculous wait time. Carraba's has less than half the wait time and I have never had a dish I didn't like there. I also make fettucine alfredo at home (also with cream cheese) - IMO it's better than OG. I also like to drop fresh spinach leaves in the sauce... mmmmmmmmm...... Oh yeah, I cheated and got a slice of cheese pizza for lunch. I just couldn't bring myself to eat the lentil soup I brought. I'm finding I need to eat more carbs than normal. But it's all good, I'm having homemade taco salad for dinner (with chicken and pinto beans, not beef) and NO DESSERT.

My grandmom got BF and I an OG gift card for Christmas, so we have to go at some point. If I'm going to get pasta when I'm out for dinner then I'm going to an actual Italian restaurant. Thank god I live where I do!

I always get something I'm too lazy to do at home, so it's usually fried or too time consuming at home.

anyone notice they started getting chinsy on the soup and salad? I used to love getting zuppa toscana there (until I learned to make it myself). You'd be able to get a bowl of soup and more than one round of salad/breadsticks. Now you're lucky if the salad serving bowl is 3/4 full.

I don't think swamp appreciates the salad or breadsticks.

I like OG's salad dressing but I heard its way full of stuff that's bad for you. We went to an Italian restaurant at the Venetian last night. I was totally unimpressed.

I don't think swamp appreciates the salad or breadsticks. Or the fetuccine, or the chicken marsala, or the linguine, or the shrimp fra diavla, etc., etc.
