I know, i know... sigh... but i don't want to invite all the crazy people i know... THIS is where i go to talk about them! ... and voice my opinions without concern (too much) for hurt feelings...
We'll just have to tell our own dark secrets, make up our own trolls, or start handing out this link to people we meet on the street (or in front of us in the checkoutline, prefereably paying for filet with food stamps out of their coach bags...)

If the adult thread weren't part of the board I would put it on my frugal web site. I get over 120 hits a day. But I am afraid there would be advertising that wouldn't fit with my audience.

I don't post much, but I'll try..... "Free hat" worked better on South Park. For a short time..... "Armored vehicles are a need at Wendy's because I saw a guy get a grenade thrown at him there. At McDonald's they shoot you so you only need power windows, but the armor is a need at every Wendy's!!!" I only discovered this group a couple of months ago, and that was a thread that made me laugh the most. |

I accidentally lectured the sales clerk at the store this weekend on saving money. He said he just started saving and has $200 so far. I told him if he had ever taken a vacation or bought a car he had money to save.
I didn't mean to lecture him but he said I deserved a good dishwasher, I was obligated to set him straight, I can afford a good dishwasher.
I told him how saving even a few hundred means never needing a payday loan or ever having a overdraft and even a thousand helps with emergency car repairs. He had an old car that died so he is taking the bus, he said he is saving a lot of money that way.
I explained savings isn't just for the future but makes you feel better right away too.

But I am concerned about what advertising would be attracted to the blog because of the thread being here. I'm not sure how it works, but I think there are key words that are picked up. |
