Ok, so I HATE seafood, but DS loves it. Since I've rarely made it, I'm completely clueless on how to fix it up. I'm trying to go as healthy as I can with it (I'm sure I could make a really good butter sauce, but...) I'd also like to start buying it for him more often (we have a grocery outlet and they usually have a lot of frozen seafood).
Anyway, last night I picked up a bag of seafood "bits", things like octopus, squid, etc (he's 14 and love to try the "weird" stuff--he likes both). Now I just need some good seasoning/sauce/cooking tips. I know there are a lot of seafood eaters here. Also, if a seasoning seems a little "fancy" to have on hand, please let me know if there is a good substitution or if it can be omitted.
Thanks!

For a bag of bits, a nice Cioppino would be good.

ok, I think DS would like the Cioppino--we'll probably make a batch of the broth and then take half of that to my parents with a "bag of bits" and he can keep the other half. I read that you can freeze the broth so we might do it that way so he won't get sick of leftovers. I have all the ingredients on hand, so it will only cost a few bucks for another bag.
