me too but as I said, my tape is bad, the player, eats tapes so had to stop useing it. Thus no XM anymore in the car..

Dezi have you tried to use a tape head cleaner to clean the deck? You can take a swab and clean the drive rollers with tape head cleaner fliud also. The magnetic dust builds up and makes the tape stick. Another problem may be the drive belt needs replacing.

Yes I used a tape cleaner..hard to find those now, none of the new cars have tape decks any more, in fact couldn't find any, had a old one I found but could have been dried out. It got eaten after a while too. LOL I had gone to Radio Shake , Best buy and Wakl/Mart, no tape cleaners. I will try the cleaning by hand, long q tip. Alcohol Ok for a cleaning agent? To replace the drive belt, think ot would cost a pretty penny, one of those units comes with the car..all built in, me I don't use any more tools then a hammer...possible a screw driver if I can see the screw.
