So, today on Meet the Press, N.Y. Senator Chuck Schumer stated he was happy that John Boehner isn't going to make threats in regards to the vote on raising the debt ceiling. Schumer stated people would not get their Social Security payments and servicemen would not get paid. He said the U.S. would fall into a depression.
On the flip side, OK. Senator Tom Coburn stated that increasing the debt ceiling would make U.S. bondholders uneasy and shake their confidence. The consequences of this, Coburn said, would be the worst economic meltdown of all.
So...
Pick your poison. Isn't it amazing how few people realize how truly, TRULY screwed we all are? I don't think there's anything left to be said.

It doesn't matter the market will keep on going up no matter how bad things are. I don't even know why it dropped to begin with!
