I managed to cash out $900 from one slot machine, at that point I wanted to go home but stupid me had to stick around and play a little longer because the people I was with wanted to stay. There should be a "kicking myself in the ass" icon.

I feel your pain. I do not like losing my money so I rarely go to casinos. I get upset if I lose more than $100. I went crazy last March and lost $1200 of my money in one week at the casinos. I don't know what I was going through, because that is sooooo not me. I'm still kicking myself in the ass for that one and haven't set foot in a casino since.

Oh, Empire! I am so sorry to hear that. I hate "should haves". There is nothing worse than wanting a redo and not getting one. How about this one:

Sorry. Next time sit with one of them and watch them lose money. It may also encourage them to leave sooner.

I don't ever go to casinos. I can't stand to lose money. I grew up in a casino town and my grandfather was a horrible gambling addict. I saw the devastation it caused him and my grandma. When he died he had their riding ranch so mortgage that my grandma had to sell off most of the 180 acres and 40 horses to pay the debts off.
When I first went away to college I did go to the casino a few times with my roommates. They would make fun of me because I would only take $20 at the most and buy nickle rolls to play the nickle slots. When that was gone, I was done.

We casinos love you all because the odds always favor us and if you win you can't stop and go home so we get those winnings and more back. Thanks for believing in "Lady Luck". It makes your fleecing so much easier for us..

I like my money too much. Gambling is a funny thing, I don't have that " I want to win more money" bone in my body. Too conservative maybe???

Aww, sorry Empire. I am REALLY not a gambler. We went to Vegas years ago and the day we were leaving my husband forced me to put $10 in a machine. Two minutes later it was gone and I was pissed! I go to our local casino to see bands but I haven't never put a cent into any of the machines...I do my damage at the bar

I'm ok, can't win all the time. I should just stay on EE and not go out.

I don't ever go to casinos. I can't stand to lose moneyDitto, I don't even buy lottery tickets (a tax on people who are bad at math). Just never seen the attraction. I have a neighbor who said his mother would spend all day there if she could.

$50 wouldn't bother me though I would never see myself losing that much but $1,000? I'd be kicking myself all the way home.

DH is a gambler. Heck, he was born & raised in Louisville...gambling is in his blood.
He does like the casinos too. As far as I know, he doesn't let it get out of hand. He did have an online acct for the horses, but that's no longer legal. Now he settles for NASCAR & football betting with the guys at work. And he'll go to the track when we go to Louisville.
I just think about how many hours it took me to earn that money. And odds are good I'll have NOTHING to show for it.

Empire, you just gotta learn when to go to the bar, or at least to the penny slots!

We haven't been to a casino in years, and we have tons of them around here. DH will put a couple dollars in pull tabs once in a great while, and we will also buy a Powerball ticket once in a while.
We went to a banquet Saturday night, spent about $150 on raffle tickets, won a mag light. We did get an awesome prime rib dinner though.
