Eat some really—and I mean really—far gone potato salad and I'll bet you could come close.

No, just use real mayonnaise and then after it's made, leave it out for several hours before eating, preferably in a warm location.

Why do I have a feeling I should be making a joke about a warm place now?

I have to agree with the name "MSN Refugees". We may have picked up some new members along the way, but this does describe the bulk of us on all the forums; EE, YM, MT, etc.
"Not MSN" was pretty good too. Nice and neat.

SLAP - Snow Leopard Assimilation Project
Refugee sounds like a negativism, couldn't we be BRILLIANT or something??!!

Financially Savvy Refugees? MMP - Moonbeam's Money Posse <----- At EE this could be taken WAY off course.

guys, this board is not about EE..
it's about ALL of the sub categories.. any name has to reflect the board as a whole.
and, to reiterate... i DO NOT want my name attached to it.

I was thinking of producing a banner that would go in my sig block on the Proboards Coding Support forum, which I visit occasionally. It would be small. Probably somewhere around 500 x 160 px. All the prototypes I have thus far read either "Moonbeam's Board for Madbums" or "General Moonington's Moonbeamily Moonful Board for Moony Moonlings". Hence finding a reasonable loophole around the "No Association to Moonbeam" rule is going to take some doing.

The "budget cut" one would be YM, the stock chart would be MT and IBB, the foods/vegetables would represent all the recipe boards, the Republicrat logo (once suitably PG-13-ified) is P&M. I'm not sure if 'travel' is what we should use to portray EE. (I suppose I'd be comfortable with anything without spots.)
EE could be something like a dog wearing a baseball cap. Or maybe a group of people wearing Groucho Marx noses. Something unabashedly goofy.

How about a picture of Pecos Bill riding a tornado for P&M? Afterall, there are so many tall tales told there.

It's the strangest thing: I've seed MAD magazine in stores for 29 years. I've read about the founding of the magazine, about Alfred E. Neuman, and MAD as a cultural phenomenon. I've seen "What, Me Worry?" invoked in more parodies than I can count. But, you know, I've not read even a single page of a single issue of MAD. I've just never felt compelled to buy the magazine. It's spooky in its improbability.
