You are correct 50 Years ago today the Green Weenies (Green Berets) hit the military scene and began to do some really good things... My first impression of them was how squared away and sharp they looked with their Green Berets and polished jumb boots....and we were warned not to give them a bad time in any of the bars or restaurants near Fort Bragg North Carolina so I didn't |

Arch one of the big changes to today's military is the emphasis on Special Forces, ie Deltas, Green Weenies, Marine Recon, Rangers, Air Rescue Rescue which I think now niumber about 60,000 troops or @ 5 divisions. One thing about the Green Weenies is they were the first in and last out in some really hot place around the world and never talked about what they did.... |

Lets see ... I served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm in the 82nd airborne.
Slept in bio hazard gear with gas mask for days on end.
Put a few of my buddies in body bags after a Scud hit.
So being an ex-mod of a blog is an elite group?
