Sharon I don't know exactly where you are in Oregon, but I hope you have your water difficulties figured out and are not affected by fires. Thank you for asking. I am now living in the Eastern part of the state. The fires are mostly to the south and south east of where I live. We have had some smoke but it hasn't been to bad. My water situation is pretty much resolved. I'm on the new well and I can water my yard manually. The irrigation guy hasn't been by to get that system running. He is notorious for just showing up whenever. I really need to find a different irrigation guy but they are few and far between and all of them are pretty much booked up. Next week I'm going to have a tree service out and they will be removing several dead trees and bushes. They are also going to do some trimming of some others. I was supposed to get my bathroom remodeled and was just waiting on the bid when all of this other crap hit. It looks like I will still have the money to do it and I think I'm going to. Yes my savings has been depleted and I had to dip into the IRA but I'm tired of putting all my money into infrastructure. I want something pretty. I have really been fighting the blues lately because of all these issues. This house was supposed to be one that I could live in and get the interior all updated and get the overgrown yard all back into shape and then sell it for a good price. Hopefully someone will appreciate the new furnace, AC, hot water heater, and well. I still have popcorn ceilings and other outdated items. The yard looks worse than it ever has.
Right now I'm just very consciously looking for positive things and slowly my feelings of failure are starting to turn around. Friday I discovered an extra $25 in my paypal account. I guess I forgot to add in a time in January when I cashed in my swagbucks. My neighbor brought me some fresh peaches and they are delicious. He also brought me some fresh corn on the cob but I can't eat it right now since I'm having a colonoscopy on Wednesday. Today would have been an excellent day to work outside but I'm tired and just wasn't in the mood. I finally gave myself permission to watch the olympics. I've also puttered around doing things so I can set up my sewing machine in the family room so I can watch TV while I sew.
Hugs. ♡ Hugs you you too, Theo. ♡ I'm glad you're doing well.

Good Evening Kids! I've been gone for most of the day, but am back to check in. Glad to see you haven't burned the place down while I was gone. It is HOT here right now, like actually hotter than it is in the community we used to live in Florida. Totally weird. And now I hear there is potential for a hurricane forming in the next week or two down there. So, I guess I shouldn't feel badly about our heat.

Our temps have been in the high 90's for days/weeks. Or even in the hundreds! I had no idea today was so much cooler! I just checked and it's only 78° outside!
So I promptly came out and sat in my hammock swing. I love it! I wish I would have noticed the nicer temp earlier and come out. But I'll take this.
It's so crazy how you think no one looks, or notices you/things... As I was sitting down, I saw a man and a teenage girl walking into the bldg, in the parking garage across from my place. (There's a space between my bldg and the garage.) The girl waved at me. 😁
Yikes! I'm in my pajama pants! It's a good thing I had clothes on! 🤣

Good Morning Kids! It's still hot & humid inside the house today. toomuchreality, don't worry about being "seen" in pajama pants. I see people wear them at Walmart all of the time.

(There's a space between my bldg and the garage.) The girl waved at me. 😁 Yikes! I'm in my pajama pants! It's a good thing I had clothes on! 🤣 I see people in pajama pants sometimes slippers going to Walmart or our chain grocery store here. In fact one time on a Saturday I got off the bus a stop or two early so I could do a quick small shop for some groceries. At one of the self checkouts a young woman in pjs and fuzzy slippers was slowly deciding how to pack up her groceries. Unfortunately not much was open and I didn't want to be late simply because Princess couldn't focus while in her early morning brain fog. So since the transaction had been complete and she had been sleepily trying pack up her groceries for several minutes, I lost patience and started ringing my three items out. Pretty sure she said something like "Do you mind?!" And I said I do mind you are painfully slow, most people put their groceries into the cart if its going to take them more than a couple minutes to pack them up. I of course rang up, paid, shoved my stuff into my cart and she was still slowly trying to decide which of three or four bags stuff should do into. I packed my stuff as I was rolling the cart to where I usually did, but of course they had now blocked off that entrance with fencing. Lost time trying to navigate my way out and had to abandon the cart sooner than I would have liked. I think I was able to clock in b4 the dreaded 5 minute late point(lose .25 hour of pay). But it was a near thing and I was exhausted, tired, and crabby. Later I found out that would be blocked off for weeks while they build a connecting enclosed bridge from, I think rich renter building one to rich renter building two. Construction here is everywhere. Gas lines, roads, bridges, and projects like this given that grocery store is in a train commuter area so possible transit hub upgrade $$$.

That never occurred to me. I guess because I don't see myself as one of "them". I hope I never do! At my old Apts, I had a neighbor who would go outside to check her mail, take her trash out, and come visit, in just her bathrobe. 😳 I don't want to be like her, either. That's not the look I'm going for! Haha

I often wear my pjs in my house. I don't have much company and they usually let me know before they come so I can change.
I'm happy to hear Sharon is doing well. I agree with remodeling the bathroom. After spending so much money this year on the yard and for the repair to the ceiling that I put off until after August 10, all of my money has gone towards stuff that isn't pretty.
I am very happy to have my pretty bathroom.

I ran this morning, but it was almost 90 before 8 a.m. Doing a load of laundry; we finished the overnight oats and had eggs also. Pasta pesto with chicken for dinner tonight.

What's the drink on the bottom right Nancy?
I agree cool beverages are needed. The high is under 90, but it is sunny, and I felt pretty warm just doing laundry earlier.

Thanks for brunch, Nancy. It looks delicious!
I often lounge in my pajama pants too, with the same thoughts in mind... no visitors, or I'll get notice before someone comes. My balcony has solid walls on 3 sides and is only visible from one tiny area of the garage. It's very small. Plus I'm on the 4th floor, so I didn't expect to see anyone.
I don't think I'll make that mistake again!

I am so bummed! I made chocolate pudding today and after I put it in the fridge, I washed the "beater" (I used a milk frother). Upon doing so, I found a hair wrapped around the beater, covered in pudding. Yuck!
Even though I'm sure it was one of my hairs, I disposed the pudding and I'm not sure I'll be able to eat chocolate pudding in the future.
I'll probably throw my milk frother away, as well. Because I won't be able to use it, without thinking of the possibility of a hair getting in my food.
Gross.
ETA: First world problems, I know.

I have long hair, so I don't worry about it unless I think my hair is unsafe for some reason. My hair gets everywhere, but yes wrapped around a beater/frother would make me unhappy.

Working on going to bed. I tell CG2 not to overdo and of course I am overdoing in spades because of fear and lack of funding. I really did try to go to bed in a timely manner, but my plan to keep Crestie comfortable in the room with me is stressing me out.
It will either work or it won't. And of course, it's the latter one that gets me. I don't want another departure. I don't want to be alone. Its July and it's very hard to get any RL people to hang with.

Going to try to do better in the overdo part today. Try for just enough and that God will help make things work out. Just need to be patient and be willing to wait for things to come to me.
Crestie is still alive although no visible improvement to me. Need to crack another Poland Spring bottle open. I took his last night for hydration. Need to work harder and more consciously on my health. Neti pot my annoying sinuses who do want to drain if slowly.
Big things for today are finishing Dad's IRA stuff Calling about my pension and see how the new thing they mailed out affects me. Might do this mid to late morning and dad IRA stuff early afternoon.

Happy Monday peeps! I don't normally check in today, but I had to log into my Cleveland Clinic account to read a message (just a refill for a prescription that they OK'ed).
Kick boxed this morning, then tried more overnight oats. I added more yogurt this time, which alleviated the dryness that the first batch had. Also finished a small leftover portion of yesterday's omelet. Our very nice neighbor (not the idiot who throws weeds on our driveway) knocked this morning and asked permission to enter our yard with his boys. He had a tree limb from his side come down onto our side of the fence and wanted to remove it. Not as big or messy as our project was (and he does have three helpers) but it's done. Such a nice family.

Good Morning Kids! We got a TON of rain last night. The pond on the property behind our house has reappeared. And, it is humid outside once again, so it must be a Monday. Carry on. I've got a LOT to try & accomplish today.

It is HOT here right now, like actually hotter than it is in the community we used to live in Florida. Totally weird. And now I hear there is potential for a hurricane forming in the next week or two down there. So, I guess I shouldn't feel badly about our heat. We have a tropical storm in the Atlantic. I don't want to jinx anything, but we could use the rain. We've had a very dry rainy season.

Woke up to my sump pump running. Then went outside to go to the Doctor to get sutures removed and it was raining. Yes, it is also humid.

Ok two things down, morning bath and call on the Telco pension letter. Good news on the pension for me, no changes. Yes. Crestie is hanging in there, but not sure what I should do next. Will stick with dripping water at him so he will lick it up. I think I may have gotten rid of my old small feeding syringes. I do have a small collection of glass droppers from my Olive Leaf extract bottles. Figured the glass would be less likely to break when a lizard critter was mad at me for trying to save or prolong their life. Crestie will lick water with his tongue so he hasn't given up yet. Crappy weather in the 90s is on its way though.

Using a different pic of Moon Shadow for now as an avatar. I want to use Crestie, but I don't think I have any photos on the PC of him.
Anyway, need to file stuff from the morning and do dad is dead stuff this afternoon.

Well, at the moment, it is raining everywhere but here. I went out to do some yardwork because it's cloudy. Not helping the temperatures much. I put two mini-meatloaf pans in the oven (not enough for a big one, too much for one mini), so we will be eating it tomorrow, too.

I have longer hair too. I don't worry about finding a hair, unless it's a completely different color than mine. When I make food for the family, I usually either tie my hair back, or wrap it in a scarf. I'm kind of in the "don't give a darn" category if I'm just making something for me. I've seen worse. Ever opened a can of vegetables, and found a large bug in it? That has happened to me twice.

NO! I don't think I could handle that. Seriously. OMG! I don't do bugs, or spiders! Years ago, I may have just removed the hair and eaten it. Not any more. I've always had short hair, until I had my heart attacks. Now it's past my shoulders. And even though I keep it pulled back, I'm always finding hair on my shirt and places. I hate hair in my face. And in my mouth. Bad. I'm thinking about getting my hair cut, but probably not in a pixie, like it used to be. We'll see. Not tomorrow!

Opti, remind me what sort of baby Moon Shadow was. Unfortunately, my computer is showing a very dark picture, so it's hard to make out details. Would you believe I've done over 2700 steps today, just by doing housework? I'm sure going up & down the stairs doing laundry has added some, but I've had such a full day I haven't taken one of my normal walks. I hope to squeeze my normal walking time in tomorrow. After I get through a meeting.
