Good Morning Kids! I've been sitting on a $25 gift card for our local movie theater, and DS really wants to see the newest Minion movie, so that's what we're going to do. I was surprised to find out, even 'tho I'm not retirement age yet, I'm considered a senior there, so I get a reduced rate on my ticket price. Sweet! I want to see that movie as well. Let me know how it is. I liked it! But then, I've taken DS to see the other 3 movies as they came to the theater, so I know all of the characters, and those silly Minions always make me laugh. Juvenile humor at its best. I was SHOCKED to find out DD's new husband has never seen any of the Despicable Me movies, so we're gonna have to introduce him to them.

I went to the last Despicable Me movie about 2 years ago, maybe. Prior to that, I saw Ice Age around the year 2000? I don't recall any in between.

Some of them I've watched on the laptop instead of the theatre. I actually haven't seen much in the theatre at all since Covid times, but I have a GC that should allow me to see two or three movies depending on costs. (Showtimes, 3D etc.) Other stuff is coming I really want to see as well. I have not seen a Deadpool movie. I have seen some of the trailers though. Deadpool and Wolverine are in an upcoming movie. That would be better big screen, so I hope Covid doesn't get too out of control in the next month or so. Yes you have to get DD's husband into the Minion appreciation program.

I like the Ice Age franchise and Gru and crew are always fun. Some action movies though are better on a big screen because it's easier to see all the action. Or at least get a better understanding of large crowd scenes and battles.

I've got to find the will to put my rescheduled doctor's appointment in the shared calendar for work. And then craft a short text to my boss.

OK request put in shared companywide calendar. prior to merger I think calendar was for less than 50 people. Calendar might be for around 75 to 90 peeps, IDK. Things change daily. Pray for me. Going outside to clear head or make sinus headache worse.

I will probably need to use the county program to do this ride there and back. It will cost me a days pay. Which sucks when I am always treading the line lately of NJ minimum wage FT life.
Text sent just b4 8. Hope I can get a nap in.

Good Evening Kids! The last 24 hours have been a hot mess, but so far we're surviving. Among other things, DH tested positive for Covid. Again.

I'm alive but at times it doesn't feel like it. Just realized I should try to Neti Pot b4 today's doctor appointment. Still no idea how I am getting there. Going to get a call from County Transportation this morning and I need to call the doctor's office too. Since I did that rush impacted tooth removal, I did not start paying down my balance with the health conglomerate until just after they sent the bills to collections. One is fully paid, one if partially paid. They were both paid last month through the mail, so I have a feeling the health conglomerate does not know that. Will probably look up when they were cashed. Since I am home, not sure if I can verify it was endorsed correctly etc. Have about a third of it still outstanding. Would prefer not to pay it all this month as week two of not advancing dad's IRA stuff forward. (Maybe late today like 5 to 7PM or Sat if they have hours... IDK) I would like to pay half even though the money I want to pay it out of won't be available until that IRA paperwork is completed and they verify I am me. I am so exhausted and Crestie is sad and not eating. I hope after today the stress temp can return down to something more normal and civil. Wish I had a foster Chinchilla to distract him with now. Turns out all my Moonshadow stuff will work including my about half box of hay. I just need the dust bath stuff and I think good kitty pellets that mimic nutrition in kitty pellets. The big problem is these rodents are chewers. Need a way to protect bathroom vanity cabinets. The bathroom is my usual timeout place for critters especially when I can't watch them very carefully. Sinuses really hurt, but I got at least 4 hours of broken sleep today so a little less foggy mind wise.

Opti, is there any chance you could be allergic to hay? Hay dust can be nasty for allergy sufferers. True story: I have a lot of relatives who owned farms in the past, and one, who was raising beef cattle, found out he was allergic to beef. I'm not sure how he coped, because he didn't give up raising cattle.

I just have to put on a mask when putting it in the cage etc. I used to take Alfalfa tablets from some MLM that really helped. Oh Shaklee. Its actually a good natural alternative that keeps my grass and hay allergies from being a bigger problem. When Moon Shadow was very young I fed him Alfalfa hay because he needed the calcium. Once they get to a certain size you should go mixed, or into pure Timothy. The Chinchilla may eat less so I might be able to go back to the resealable large bags. Less of a problem than Mr. large box. Was outside waiting for finishing up with big health conglomerate. My nose started bothering me as lots of pollen and cut grass etc. out there. Young mantid has decided he prefers the more diseased azalea bush.

I usually work most Saturdays. So its hard to be happy about Friday. However, I will choose to be happy about Friday once I make it to this doctor's appointment and start the documentation process. I expect I need to see an orthopedist and I would like to see the person/business that did help me years ago with orthotics and knows what they are doing. I think once I am on Medicare, orthotics or certain things are covered that aren't covered for me as a 65+ adjacent woman. Managed to get a friend to reluctantly to me there and back. So I will behave and not ask for anything extra. My finances are trash right now (July situation normal) so I don't even have small cash to give him for gas. (1990s land yacht so fueling it is not cheap) Should I prewrite out at least a small check for $10 that he can deposit or cash for at least the fuel part today? I prefer to give him more because just one way with Lfyt or Uber might be around$20 to $25. Last time I gave him $20 because I thought that was fair and I wanted him to give me a ride in the future if needed. We both have medical issues although I hope mine are more temporary. He is more than a decade older than I. We volunteered together in mgmt positions.

Just mowed the lawn, peeps. Almost melted into it. How on earth could it still be 104 out there? Glad I made the hydration ice cubes. My friend (the one who recently returned from Europe) called me yesterday and we had a fun conversation, which I needed, since DH is in one of his bad periods at the moment, health-wise. My friend is doing some home remodeling, and said he needed a lady's opinion. So I asked him why he called me, since even my dad never used that four-letter word to describe me. He laughed, and said he was debating on whether he should re-install the deep sink into his laundry room, or just add a countertop. For me, the sink is the winner, since like a lot of women, I do hand-wash things. But I also rinse things like my trail running shoes and some pool gear and gardening stuff. I would like a counter also, and asked about a hinged countertop, that could swing up or off to the side when not needed and over the sink when needed. He thought that could work, but if not, he can install the sink outside on the patio. I could live with that, though I think most women would prefer it indoors.

I roasted a pork loin and a huge sweet potato (we shared it) for dinner. Have enough pork loin left over for fried rice tomorrow.

So going to get a specialist appointment. Might drain water from my knee in the next few weeks. I did not know they did that. Going to get x-rays and whatnot as well.
Have no idea what is happening to my beloved knee, but hopefully it will be figured out and healed by year end or sooner.

@taxprol, I know your surgery is coming up soon. Wishing you the very best outcome, and I will be sending you thoughts & prayers (the good kind). Opti, water on the knee is a thing, although I heard about it back when my parents were still here. I'm not sure what the medical options are now, but draining the excess liquid sounds like a good idea.

Opti , water on the knee is a thing, although I heard about it back when my parents were still here. I'm not sure what the medical options are now, but draining the excess liquid sounds like a good idea. I had it at my intake 15ish months ago, but then it wasn't so bad and it was more like regular soft tissue damage. This hasn't gotten better and I am into at least week 3 or 4. Scared me enough to know I need to address it. I am walking weird and pain in places it hasn't been before. Man I am really going to think over the weekend. I can't afford to be off two to three months because of pay yet I try to force things too much in these low paying jobs. I want to return to work as soon as reasonable but I don't know what reasonable is. It might be at the very least into August as all of this is complicated and maybe partially caused by Dad's death and settling the estate issues. Physical therapy and all sorts of things were mentioned. Kind of made my head spin, but the office wasn't able to book the first specialist yet. Hopefully that can be done Monday. And Oh, I m just going to pay off last years very high deductible surprises by the end of August and I'm going to do my annual well visit about then too. I suppose the good news is I have set up some county transportation, but i think I need to pre book in possible half days and find out more about medical transports. I have lots of tests etc. in my future, some left over from last time. And people wonder why I haven't addressed the car by now. The commute has taken so much out of me and ... I did call one of the places my car was towed to, to let them know I have clear title in case anyone wanted it as a project car.

Good day to my peeps! Did swim practice and the Walmart run this morning. A half hour outside after breakfast soaked everything I was wearing.
My idiot neighbor was trying to have a go at his weeds again. I don't know why he bothers. He gets to a few, it rains and they grow back. No yard service wants to be bothered. If he started early, he would have shade for enough hours to do the front lawn entirely. And his wife? Never seen her lift so much as a garden trowel. Hardest thing I've seen her do is go get the mail.

Good Afternoon Kids! The humidity is getting into the uncomfortable zone once again, so I'm trying to catch up on stuff indoors.
DH is feeling better. I will admit I'm babying him a bit, trying to make sure he eats well, etc., so he'll have a full recovery.

Busy morning! Did a trail run in what felt like a humid rainforest, then home and made a potato, cheese, onion quiche (with a slice left for breakfast tomorrow). Laundry is running. I did a deep clean of the cats' room, since the new petsitter is coming tomorrow. I will wash the Saharan dust off the car later.

Good Morning Kids! We did online church today, so I'd be sure not to "share" DH's Covid. It rained REALLY hard here, so I was glad not to be out on the road, but things are settling down now. Thanks for brunch, NancysSummerSip!
