Happy Monday/Memorial day! I'm SO glad I went to the cemetery on Friday, so I'm not fighting the crowds today! Although the weather is nice today, it sure doesn't feel like summer.
The weather is weird now days. Maybe that's because summer doesn't start until June 20th. Enjoy the spring temps while you can, It will be hot soon enough.

Good Morning Kids! No grilling or cemetery visits here today. We just have off & on rain to look forward to all day long. The weather is definitely weird here too. We've already got dragonflies. Big ones. Normally we don't see them until July or August, and they've been here since early May.

But don't most people kick off summer on Memorial day? I know pools normally open today. But it's only supposed to get up to 72° F today. Not warm enough to go to the pool. It is nice though. Perfect weather for hanging out, if you're not going to the pool. Nice to see you, Skeeter! Have a great day!

I'm going to buy some troll dolls tomorrow, on FB marketplace, for my GDs. I hope they're cute in real life.
I think my grands will like them. It's hard to find things they'll like, that I can afford and they don't already have several of.
ETA: I'm also going to buy a stair climbing shopping cart to use for getting my groceries from my car, to my apt. I hate having to make several trips, every time I return from the store. Sodas are heavy! So are canned goods.
Luckily, I don't have to climb stairs any more. But this cart is only $10, compared to $30 for the others I've seen.

I had one of those grocery carts at an apartment complex when I lived in Boulder. Actually two different complexes. At both places, my apartment was in the middle of the building and quite a walk from where my car was parked. I rented a garage and did have a garage that was close to my apartment but it was at the end of the building.
It was very nice to be able to get my groceries in the apartment in one trip.

I've had a shopping cart before, but I didn't have anywhere convenient to store it, except in my garage, which was not convenient or attached. Plus I couldn't get it up the open stairs. So I never used it. I gave it away. I think this one is going to be much more useful. I haven't opened it yet, but it's new, in the box. That makes me happy! And the Trolls and Squish Mallows I got are great! The trolls are like new and the Squish Mallows are new, so I made out very well. Plus, I stopped at the Liquor store, for me. 😁 Today, life is mostly good!

All of the apartments I lived in before I moved here, were on the first floor because I didn't want to deal with stairs.
The only apartment I had where I had to deal with open stairs was the first one out of college when I was young and the stairs didn't bother me at all.
I had trolls in junior high, I think. They are so ugly they are cute.

Boy the weather is weird today. Rain, then the sun pops out just long enough to ramp up the humidity, then it clouds up & we get more rain. Then more sun. Rinse & repeat.

We just got a Severe Thunderstorm Warning on TV. 😳 It's beautiful and sunny outside currently.
I just finished putting my shopping cart together and putting the wheels on. All that was made 10 times harder by the absolutely TERRIBLE instructions, that weren't written in the U.S. and although they were numbered, they weren't in order. Combine that with using terms and phrases we don't use here. UGH!
I finally disregarded the instructions and did what made sense. I looked over the instructions afterward, to make sure I hadn't made any serious mistakes.

My shoulder is giving me trouble. I had an appointment scheduled for June 27th to get a corticosteroid shot in it. I decided today, I can't wait that long and called to get the appt moved to an earlier date. I wish I could go tomorrow. I have to wait until the 11th. I don't expect to be in good shape by then. There are some movements I can barely make now.

Good Morning Kids! I've already gotten a bunch of "exciting" errands done this morning, like going to the post office & taking some stuff to recycling. It's rather cool & windy here today. toomuchreality, is there a massage therapist near you that could help you? As someone who has dealt with back pain for years, I can literally "feel your pain". Sorry if there are typos here this morning. I haven't worn my contacts in quite awhile, so I figured I'd better wear them at least part of the day today.

Thanks for the suggestion. It's slowly getting better. But I tend to lean on it, in a way that isn't helpful. And I don't notice I'm doing it, until it starts bothering me.

One of our old college friends has a wife who had rotator cuff surgery last year. The good news is, the surgery was successful, but I recall the recovery for her was a bit long. Wishing you the very best outcome, toomuchreality! It looks like one of my next door neighbors is setting up for a garage sale. Ugh! At least it won't be wedding weekend, but it will attract a lot of traffic here.

Thanks!
I hope you don't get too much traffic and no one blocks your driveway, if there is a yard sale.
I once asked a woman, if it was okay for me to park in front of her house, when I was going to the cemetery across the street. She couldn't have been more grateful and pleased that I asked.
I also had a man come out and tell me I couldn't park on the street, in front of his house. Because there was " too much traffic". We argued, he screamed. (I was going to my boyfriend's house, across the street. But someone else was parked in front of his house.) I told him who I was and where I was going. He still was screaming at me. His wife came out and told him it was okay and calmed him down. I made a very truthful, sarcastic remark, then moved my car to the other side of his driveway. It wasn't a busy street.
Only later, did I figure out , he wasn't talking about road traffic. LOL

Watching TV these days, is nothing like watching TV was growing up (with an antenna).
One of my neighbors has a giant antenna attached to the railing of their balcony (like you'd see on to of a house).
I can get a good picture and signal, but keeping it is a problem.
I reconnected my signal booster today, because I lost some of my most watched channels when I disconnected it.
I need a little hole in my window screen, to run the co-ax cable through. Then I could keep the signal, I think.
I guess I'll go try watching in the living room and see if that's better.
(It's mainly just background noise, but I stop and look up, when it goes out/off.)

Reception in my living room is significantly better than in my bedroom, even though they are next to each other, with an attached wall.

DGD1 graduates from kindergarten tomorrow (Thursday). Her younger sister is sick (throwing up). DD2 contacted me, to see if I can come stay with DGD2, while they go to graduation.
Of course, I said yes. But I have to get up and leave so dang early!
I'm so glad I got those Troll dolls and Squish Mallows, to give them. I will make them graduation gifts. DGD2 graduates from preschool Friday, I think.

Good Morning Kids! DS caught his ride, and I'm making a shopping list before I head out. The sun is out, and it should be a nice day. Except, the cottonwood trees have released their "fluff", and it affects my allergies, so I'm sneezing quite a bit.

It's a beautiful day here. The sun is shining and the predicted high is 78°. I arrived at DD2s at the perfect time this morning. I went to their bedroom and said Good morning to DGD1 as she woke up. Now I'm having coffee. It's delicious. Enjoy your day!

It's a pretty day here, too.
I have made the coffee shop run and now need to do something productive.
I've added another topical cream to my medications. All of this medical stuff is making me feel really old.

I agree with you TheOtherMe. The more stuff we have in our medicine chest, the more I feel like I'm turning into my parents.

I agree with you TheOtherMe . The more stuff we have in our medicine chest, the more I feel like I'm turning into my parents. My parents prided themselves on the fact that neither one took any kind of maintenance medications. And it was true. And I have all of this stuff.

My Mom really wasn't on much for medications until she had deteriorated & was in the nursing home. Before it was stuff like vitamins & vitamin D. She had a handful of pills she took while in the home, because her heart had begun to grow weaker, plus she had water-retention problems. It was hard to let her go, but her life was so difficult at the end that it was a blessing when God took her home.
