Not looking better this morning. Might have to stick with feeding him mostly romaine and the apple and deal with the bad poop. Exhausting, running out of time I need to get ready for work this morning.

I finally got in touch with all the billing offices and updated the information they have. I won't owe as many thousands of $$$, as I thought. Thank goodness!
I'll have to call and make arrangements, after they get the bills/amounts updated and collect from my insurance.
What a relief. Multiple ambulance rides and hospital stays for several days each, along with multiple heart procedures, is not cheap.
And now they know how and where to find me. 🤔

You wouldn't be the first person, toomuchreality, to get medical bills that you simply could not afford to pay, even if you wanted to. There were a number of times hospitals would try to collect from my relative, and I'd have to tell them that he had been on Medicaid for years, and had no assets, so if they wanted money, their only source would be through the government. They must've checked, because they didn't bother him, and he did die penniless, so I was being honest.

Good Afternoon Kids! It was a busy morning, but I got some financial stuff done, and then I drove to my favorite meat market to stock up. They're starting to put the grilling meat into their case, and it all looked SO good!

They must've checked, because they didn't bother him, and he did die penniless, so I was being honest. Approximately 30+ years ago, when I divorced, I had to take out bankruptcy, due to medical bills. I also had some large bills written off. Since then, I have paid cash for everything. It's a PIA. But for me, it's probably smarter. I don't want to leave any bills for my family to deal with. But it really is a pain. I just got a text from DD1. Text notices from the hospital about my care, are being sent to her, which isn't helpful. I have requested that her information be removed. Hopefully, this request goes through today. (I requested it again and gave them my information.)

Good Morning Kids! The sun is out, the birds are singing, and it's going to be a beautiful day. Happy Friday! I just took a cake out of the oven, as we celebrate baptismal birthdays for our kids by eating coconut cake.

I am so sad. I don't know how I am going to survive Moon Shadow's decline. He still wants lettuce and his morning apple but can barely eat any hay. So his poop is nasty and hard for him to pass. He has a hard time staying steady, but still enough fight to protest when I try to clean his feet etc. from poop. I am remembering when my last water dragon died of I think a brain tumor. It was hell for I think two weeks. I did not know how held on that long, but maybe I need to spend more time with him so he will be willing to let go sooner. I think only someone with massive money could save him now. I think it must have started pre earthquake with an infection, which maybe had I started the olive leaf extract then, might have turned around. IDK. Weather has been crap off and on, and I did not notice as much I should have. Too many evenings of peeling of rain soaked clothes after work and trying to be motivated to get some dinner. (Sorry for the whine but feeling real sad now. I hope he enjoyed at least some of his life with me.

You've done a lot for him and you listened to the songs* he wanted/didn't want. I bet a lot of people get them, then ignore them, for the most part. You haven't done that. He's lucky to have had you. Hugs. ♡ *things, not songs

Good evening peeps. I am glad the week is over. Got paperwork to file and shred this weekend, and must find shoes for the wedding next week.

Good Morning Kids! The sun is shining, and we may actually get very close to 80 degrees today. Weird, but not impossible here for April. Opti, I am so very sorry. I know you always give your very best of care. That's all any of us can do.

Moon Shadow passed this morning. Poor baby, but I am so glad the suffering is over. He spent his last night in his snuggle sack which was on top of his couch when I realized he could not walk and was hurting himself in his cage. I am very sad, but also so wickedly grateful the suffering is over. Good bye sweet baby

I have filed and shredded papers, vacuumed and swept the house. Ran the dishwasher and will do laundry later. Planning about an hour or so of yardwork shortly. I did find shoes but had to order my size, so will get those Tuesday. Yay. I hate my feet. Found a stunning evening bag in satin magenta and a nice black leather clutch, new bras and a sleep shirt.

I can't have any more pets. I get too upset when I lose them. I still cry about my last ferret, who I had PTS June 1st, 2017. That loss crushed me.

The loss can crush me too, but sometimes they last long enough it is worth it. I think skinny pigs are too delicate for me, my lifestyle, and my ability to fund surprises. I have cried several times, but not too long, because the suffering Saturday to Saturday that I could see was horrific. I will miss his wheeks and soft squeals and runs to the front of the cage. But I am concentrating on how grateful I am the suffering is over. I understand better today why you don't want another ferret.

I am animal free for the foreseeable future. After Devon than Sprite, and having to deal with re-homing Enzo, I am on hiatus.
Maybe in a few years but I am still not sure.

After a bike ride, we went to the farmers market and then the gourmet grocery, with breakfast in between. I had my first chorizo and jalapeno omelet. Dinner tonight is based on what was bought today- shrimp and fresh corn. I am drinking water at the moment. I had a lot of coffee and iced tea while we were out. Like maybe too much. I got home and cleaned the bathrooms and started another load of laundry, while unpacking the stuff I bought and emptying all the trash cans. I might be a wee bit over-caffeinated.

Thanks for serving up brunch, Nancy! I think I'd better stick with the granola & fruit, since my body is still recovering from Easter.
We went to visit the church that DD is getting married at. It is very nice, modern-style of church.

Although I woke up earlier, after sleeping in, I wasn't awake long before I fell back to sleep.
The crazy thing is, I'm still tired.
I don't know if I'm catching up on sleep at this point, or sleeping too much, but I'm still tired. I'm really not sleepy anymore though.
I need to get up and get some chores done.
I'd like to find my iron and a few things too.
