would still like to know what snicklefritz means? You must have missed my post, rockon. The word is, indeed, German: Schnicklefritz. It means "bratty little boy". ;D

Sorry I missed it earlier. Now that explains why my Mom called me that.

Heh. My father called both of us, my brother and I, the same, rockon. There are several spellings that are used, so the OP didn't misspell, really. The one I used is the original German spelling.

I remember them also calling my brother "shelif" (not sure of the spelling) but was told it meant slim or sliver.

Never herd that before though dad used Mashoogana and Putz a lot toward my brother and I, some thing about , deep love for the child in the tranlation I believe, not quite sure. Mom would always say a long exasperated Mooooeeee{Dad's name was Moe, if she was in ear shot, another blessing I believe.

Obama is a Rotten President
Many of our Business Leaders agree with you but Obama says now he is going to try to review all of the government regulations to determine which are stifling business and economic growth. Republicans claim Health Care Reform is #1 and then our tax structure.... But meanwhile small businesses are not hiring or expanding and banks are still reluctant to grant loans for homeowners as they were expected to..

All regulations are not bad but the problem comes when you have trade agreements with countries who do not have the same structure which makes it impossible to compete on a level field.

I think we can have reasonable regulations and still compete. I think we should eliminate the federal income tax from individuals and businesses. Income tax for a business is an expense like anything else so the consumer is really paying it and since our corporate income tax is higher than most other countries our domestic products are at a disadvantage because of it, by eliminating corporate income tax and replace it with a sales tax they would be at an advantage, since most foreign goods would have the sales tax + there national income tax heaped on the cost of there product.

But meanwhile small businesses are not hiring or expanding
I wonder if any of the following from the great State of California's web site has anything to do with businesses there not hiring;
2011 UI, ETT, and SDI Rates The UI rate schedule in effect for 2011 is Schedule “F+.” This is Schedule F plus a 15 percent emergency surcharge, rounded to the nearest tenth. Schedule “F+” provides for UI contribution rates from 1.5 percent to 6.2 percent. Exception: Employers subject to Section 977(c) of the CUIC must pay at the highest rate provided by law plus an additional 2 percent, see SUTA Dumping (AB 664). The taxable wage limit is $7,000 per employee.

As In said on another thread , if he, or those who actually go through them and bring them to his attention for consideraion of...if he finds sonme , he will so many, and takeas action, I think it was mentioned by the media, executive order, trust me whaen I say they nay sayers, the special interst, the lobbiest and the congressional folks of both parties will be streaming out of the wood work screaming fowl . Also if it regulations for public safety, over site of against abuses of the public by business there is always the specter of abuse again that the legislatuion was passed to prevent . Like a catch 22, damned if do, damned if I don't.
