Really think the USA will not default also? We have more debt than anyone. And are approching our own tipping point.

Fortunate for now.
Unfortunately, if you take the USA's projected tax income and the projected expenditures, we will be .... well, read the article ...
We now join Greece, spending more than we earn.

We now join Greece, spending more than we earn. We've already been spending more than we 'earn'. We now join Greece and any other country that actually owes more than it'll produce. That is the sobering thought I take from the figures above.

I firmly believe that if you ignore it, it will go away.

blebs, those types of things have worked well in the past....but there looks to be other choices first. Most unfortunate.

Really, not far behind Greece? US is the largest financial entity in the world, the only one that is truly to big to let fail. Greece is like Northern CA, or Maine. A minor nuisance. US controls it's debt value. EU controls Greece's debt value. US borrowed money and invested in Guns and Ammo, Greece borrowed and invested in a party.
So when US gets put in position Greece is in, US fires up the printing presses until enough dollars exist to pay the debt down as far as the creditors want. Then US puts gun over one shoulder, beer in other hand and sits on the rocking chair on the porch 'waitn fer collector-type vermin'. The US is not in trouble due to our spending habits. The world is in trouble for our spending habits, and if we ever stop threatening the businesses in our country, our economy would make the debts a worry of the past. Not going to happen until we stop the class warfare, but the right to private property is the American Excellence that may return.
