As a Christian I am deeply offended by the new Hardees restaurant ad that features 2 gold cows and call their hamburger god. I have written then an e-mail that it is an abomination to Christians causing us to sin. If you have seen the ad and feel the same way, I would urge you to contact the company. To get to contact us, just search for Hardees Restaurant and it will come up on the list. Don't scoff at this, your name can be removed from His book. See Exodus 32:34 on.

I will not be a party to any petition that destroys our right to freedom of speech. There are no blasphemy laws in this country, and if there is one thing I would pick up a gun and fight against, it would be to prevent our country from becoming a theocracy.
Perhaps you ought to think about other people's rights before demanding things that offend your religious sensibilities be removed from the public eye.

Although the commercial is tasteless, I have to go with the first amendment on this one. We have people protesting at soldiers' funerals in the name of religion in this country. That's religion already gone too far.
I choose to think of my God/Higher Power (mainstream churches generally frown upon us bipolar chicks no matter how loyal to the church we have been) as one who will get his vengence in his own time and manner.

Thanks for the comments. I'm not destroying the freedom of expression. I am saying, the ad is offensive to Christians or it should be.
In response to law, whose law came first?
Carls Jr is a Hardees brand unless that has changed.

I will be very unpopular after this posting. However, I feel as if I need to do so anyway. No one needs to be petitioning anyone, or voting against anything. Simple. According to the Bible, Jesus said that he was 'no part of this world.' So, if you are a Christian that means that you follow Christs' teachings, correct? Then go by his example. Leave this world to do what it will. You put your treasures in what God promises you.

Yes Carl's Jr's and Hardees are owned by CKE on the corporate level- but the restaurants themselves are not much the same. Often the menu items vary depending on which restaurant. I personally worked at a Hardee's when they were changing to the Thickburger menu- Geez do I miss Roy Rogers and the Double-R-Bar Burger! (also bought by Hardees)

But but but...... Christ came into the world to save that which was lost. Before we came to know Jesus, we were in the world. Had no one shared the gospel with us we'd not have heard the good news.. Jesus went directly where sinners were. He sat and ate with them.. Choose his disciples by going to their worlds, saying "Follow me." Jesus came. Though his own groaned for the manifestation of the Messiah, they received him not.. He went into the hedges and the highways and bid the lost to come. Today the earth's inhabitants groans for the manifestation of the son's of God.. We must bid the lost to come and the saved to go into the hedges and the highways, and be on the lookout for the wandering sheep without their Shepherd.. The harvest is plenty, but few (us) find their way to bid them come.. As we go, should we accept our mission, speaking life into dead places, worlds/lives are impacted, changed for the good of men in the lands in which they live..

We don't live in a theocracy. Our freedom of speech trumps religion as it should in any free society. God's law applies to people who believe in God, and if you wish to refrain from blasphemy, that's your decision. Just don't expect everyone else - including Hardees - to abide by your religious preferences. You do not have the right to not be offended.
The only difference between Christians trying to pull commercials off the air for religious reasons and Muslims trying to pull cartoons from publications for religious reasons is the degree of violence. However, both are equally as tyrannical.
The trouble with tyranny is that those on the side of the tyrant never recognize it.

A couple of words in the commercial did change. There will be smite but I probably won't hear about it for the cows.
Their other commercial about some cheesey something got a poor reaction, too. I could read Advertising Age then I wouldn't be taken by surprise with these ads.

Thank God you're a Christian and not a Hindu. Then you could have really been offended. Think about it. Their cows literally are sacred. ....or a kosher Jew. Cheeseburger, anyone?
