Eh, my standard procedure for any winter squash is just to cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, cover with foil and then bake until tender. Once it's cool I scoop out the meat and add stuff to it, usually tomato sauce and Parmesan. If I want sweet stuff, I add some brown sugar and pepper. I've never tried a carnival squash specifically, but I love the name

I'm just kind of laughing because I saw danish/acorn/some kind of squash on sale for 50 cents each, grabbed two and figured I'd find a recipe when I got home.
