The GOP official was savagely attacked after she left the Southern Republican Leadership Dinner last Friday night.

Allee Butsch suffered a broken leg from the beatdown outside to the SRLC dinner at Brennan’s Restaurant in New Orleans. She had her leg operated on over the weekend and it will take her months to recover. Her boyfriend Joe Brown suffered a broken nose, a broken jaw, and a concussion. They were attacked after leaving the Southern Republican Leadership Conference dinner at Brennan’s Restaurant.

I can't find any proof anywhere, personally.. or any news really beyond the stuff on a bunch of conservative blogs. And no arrests were made...

Regardless, if they were leftists.. they weren't ones I'd associate with.

Bautsch's mother told Fox News on Friday that her daughter was not robbed, but her boyfriend was "after she was screaming on the ground."The suspects stole Bautsch's purse and ran off, Bautsch's mother said.

Despite protesters being seen outside of the fundraiser, Jindal's office dismissed reports that the attack was politically motivated.

"We are not aware of any evidence the individuals involved in the altercation were protesters," the statement read.

Bautsch's mother told Fox News on Friday that her daughter and her boyfriend were met with derogatory comments before they were attacked as they walked into a dark area in the French Quarter. Bautsch's mother declined to specify the comments.

"I don't want to impede the police investigation so I don't want to get into the political ramifications," she said. "But things were said to my daughter and her boyfriend. Everything was about money."

When asked whether reports that political insults were hurled at the couple were accurate, Bautsch's mother said, "This is not a Republican or Democrat problem. This is a problem that a young girl and her boyfriend were attacked

Jindal's office didn't believe it was politically motivated, and her mother is stating it was about money.
