Sure.. seeing as how I've never even mentioned her. That should be easy. Sorry loop...That portion wasn't directed at you. It just seems those on the right are on a mission to "prove" that the left has done exactly the same crap the "right" is being blamed for. I say who really cares at the moment. I know for a fact that 6 people lie dead today because of a lunatic and. Enough is enough. I guess I'm just "bitchy" this week.

Both sides have a point.. sorta. The left is right in saying that the hostile rhetoric will inflame the most vulnerable (ie.. the whackos), but the right is right in saying that they're not the only ones guilty of it (while also saying that they should be able to speak with open/violent hostility if they want to). But there are consequences. Do I think the recent shooting is one of those consequences? Probably, but I'm not assigning blame on anyone but Loughner for now. Frankly, we don't know enough. Even if the rhetoric did add to his psychosis, it is far from being the sole thing to which we should assign blame. Granted, I will probably end up secretly blaming republican policies... but I think, in the end, this event was caused by a myriad of complex factors influencing a deranged human being.

Agreed that both sides are doing the same thing...but there is no way in hell of protecting a lunatic from anything that might set them off. To assign blame to anything specific like a political campaign poster/map is ludicrous. Not at all. IMHO, a lunatic does not need a specific "trigger" to go postal. Look around you for signs of this anywhere. People don't need a valid excuse to go nuts any more these days. You "think, in the end, this event was caused by a myriad of complex factors influencing a deranged human being" but you're blame the repubs anyway? That's the problem with the world today is that we're so quick to assign blame in all the wrong places. Always remember, when you point your finger at someone, you have three pointed back at you. It's called Personal Responsibility....There is no way I would blame anybody else (either left or right) unless there was hard evidence that somebody basically "brainwashed" the idiot or directly endorsed this sort of violence. It's sad to say, but I guess my thinking in the minority these days.

To me she is irelevant..a smart attractive lady who has carved a niche for herself with a segment of the populace and will cash in on it for a long time..nothing wrong with that, but as one who can be considered a important leader politically, I can think of many others before her, from her side I would choose before her. My opinion of course.

I believe that there is a very fine line we need to walk between an understanding of the impact of culture, society, and body chemistry on individual action and the understanding that, in spite of all of those things, we are ultimately responsible for our own individual actions.

And, quite honestly, I never heard of this "target" map until the media hyped it and liberals blamed it after the shooting. Even when I did see it, I didn't take it as an endorsement to start shooting congressmen/women. What can I say...I don't follow Palin. Hell, I couldn't even make it through a full episode of one of her "reality" shows.

Agreed....and we also need to understand that no matter what, government will never be able to protect us from every single input that can or ever will be blamed as a trigger that sets some fringe lunatic off.

I saw one episode, they were panning for gold..grand kids or family, some old trapper /miner called bones..it was ok actually but haven't seen any more of them.

The one I saw, they took some the kids and went fishing and saw a bear and flew home and whined about some guy writing a book on them that bought the house next door and blah, blah, blah...... I had to change the channel back to Discovery or Science or Sci Fi or .....

Who here remembers the liberal wish-fulfillment film Death of a President, in which George W. Bush was assassinated and the world rejoiced?

Who here remembers the liberal wish-fulfillment film Death of a President, in which George W. Bush was assassinated and the world rejoiced? I vaguely remember that there was such a movie. I thought it was in bad taste and have never watched it.

Who here remembers the liberal wish-fulfillment film Death of a President, in which George W. Bush was assassinated and the world rejoiced? Never heard of it. Sounds sick and morally reprehensible. Which is why I went and actually looked it up. Sounds interesting, but not because I agree with the premise of killing the president. Also, it doesn't mention a world rejoicing - 'cause Dick Cheney took over and that woulda been BAAAAD! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_a_President_%282006_film%29

Wow, very shocking that so few have heard of Death of a President. The liberal media is definitely doing a thorough job of suppressing everything that doesn't progress the agenda...

The other day my wife brought home a DVD of Dinner with Smucks. I had never heard of the movie. Not much more than ten minutes into it, I realized why I hadn't heard of it. It is a very stupid movie not worth viewing. Maybe that is why Death of a President isn't well known also. Then again, you might be right that it is part of a vast left wing conspiracy.
